Wilde Lodge

This venue is unbelievably good, cannot recommend them enough! We had a great time hosting a BBQ with our closest friends and family the night before. The accommodation at the lodge itself had everything we needed, and the bell tents were beautiful. It's such a great place to stay for the whole weekend, the mixture of the barns and activities on the grounds kept everyone occupied with something for everyone. We had so many comments from guests on how good the food was - massive shout out to Csons for providing a delicious feast. Our wedding day was absolutely wonderful, we had a fantastic time. It will serve as a special memory for many years to come.

Bottom line up front: our wedding day was the best day of our lives. If we had a pound for every time a comment was made about how ‘beautiful’ the place is or questioned on ‘how did you find this place?’ We would be rich and that’s saying something with less than 50 guests! Our wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast took place in the long barn which is a magical setting. It did not take much imagination or decoration to put our own vision in place - It’s trite, but less truly is more with this place. Wilde Lodge with its different areas (front gardens, long barn, open barn, safari tent, games field and general beautiful surroundings) keep the day fresh and guests entertained; an underrated aspect when we chose Wilde Lodge but on the day became evident. It is also wonderful to stay in the main house before the big day. It allows you to settle in, get the last bits of preparation completed and facilitates a memorable evening with the wedding party. We must also mention that CSONS, the onsite caterers produced incredibly delicious food enjoyed by all. Wilde Lodge will always hold a special place for us. Thank you!

We booked Wilde Lodge without even seeing it because we knew straight away this was the venue for us! The venue is gorgeous, set in such beautiful countryside with a wild swimming river that was perfect for our day after hangovers. We truly couldn’t have dreamed of a better venue or experience, if you’re thinking of booking Wilde Lodge I would urge you to do it, you will not regret it!

Wilde Lodge exceeded every expectation. I grew up in the area, and it was a pleasure to be able to host our friends from all over the country and the world to my home stomping grounds. The food from CSONS was exceptional and our aim of filling our guests up was truly met, one guest had to remove their trousers on the journey home from being so full! The beds in the lodge were super comfortable, the tents lovely, and hot water bottles provided. The beautiful foals in the fields and rolling marches countryside were the perfect backdrop. I wish we could do it all over again. There are so many lovely areas to make use of: the Safari tent, long barn, open barn, kitchen garden, and front garden. I would recommend this venue to anybody.

We've been trying to find the words to describe, or review, Wilde lodge. It's blooming hard. From the majestic setting and glamping on site. To the simply unimaginably gorgeous food from Csons Everything. If you have the chance to book for the weekend, don't hesitate, do it! You will not regret this, it makes the weekend more magical and special, it gives you the time to build up to the day, and relax and laugh about all that's just happened the next day. Csons - oh my.....there are no words, no words to describe their food. Don't have any hesitation - the food is sensational, we lost count of all the glowing comments about the food, even from fussy guests (we had 110 guests and believe me we lost count of allergies people had - Csons were able to work round all of these!!). We could not imagine being elsewhere for our wedding, and feel privileged to have been able to be married there. We will definitely return for a weekend in the future.

The accommodation with it's amazing views on site was luxurious, spacious, comfortable, and housed 5 families with small children easily which made the preparations so fun on the day. The different zones at Wilde Lodge were so useful for the different parts of the wedding and everything went so smoothly considering we had a large amount of guests (116). The Long Barn was perfect for our family photographs, the garden was a beautiful backdrop for our confetti walk, and the tent was a magnificent celebratory space for both our ceremony and wedding breakfast.
