The Lost Gardens of Heligan

Thank you for the perfect day at Heligan for our wedding reception. We chose The Lost Garden of Heligan as our reception venue, as it is a place where Emma and I visit regularly. It’s a place that changes every season and always draws us back. We were lucky to find that this year you were looking to reintroduce weddings from a six year absence, with us being your first wedding in August 2022. Louise, Nat and the team were fantastic, helping us create our vision of a small rustic wedding within the gardens. From our first meeting with Louise, she helped us create the intimate venue with all of the personal touches we were looking for. Louise was always on hand to help with the bespoke details and personal touches, from the flowers from the gardens to the Stewards House being decorated for our first dance, we were made to feel truly special. The day had a natural flow, without anyone ever having to look at a watch or ensure things were running to time, this in part was down to the amazing team at Heligan, ensuring a structure to the wedding formalities with a flexible approach to the day. As beautiful as Heligan is as a venue, the food that Nat created complemented the day. Never was a plate empty, with guests circling back to the BBQ hut to experience different locally sourced dishes, with salads and roasted vegetables from the gardens themselves. The evening had fire pits lit, for guests to enjoy toasting marshmallows and appreciate the grounds under the moonlight. We feel so very thankful to Louise, Nat and everyone involved from Heligan for making our wedding day so special, it was truly something on par with a fairy tale. We are still in the most buzzing elated state from our absolutely incredible day. What you created for us was just a dream, everyone kept saying the word magical and they are so right - it was a magical day in a magical place. We are so grateful to you and the team for all of your hard work and creativity. The room was like a wonderland, the food was unbelievable and the thought and kindness of everyone throughout the day to us and our guests was just off the chart. Our guests were bowled over with the place and many said the most stunning wedding venue they had ever been to! Honestly the best day ever!!!
