With a colour palette of peach, cream, and green Becky & Josh’s wedding at Recommended Venue, Pennard House, is contemporary, charming and timeless. The couple included vintage elements, including a retro heart-shaped wedding cake, leafy bouquets and flower arrangements and a stunning lace mermaid wedding dress. Plus, the couple had a very special moment where Becky’s maternal grandad who is in his 90s was the couple’s witness and signed the register with them. We’re not crying, it’s just hay fever in November. It’s a thing. Plus, Recommended Supplier, Grace Elizabeth Photography, captured this gorgeous day and she was the perfect choice. There’s something romantic about Grace Elizabeth’s photography style that suits this wedding so well.
We really wanted to include some vintage elements in the day but also make it feel relaxed. The theme fits the venue but it was also an organic choice where we chose elements we liked rather than choosing a vision from the beginning.
Becky & Josh
Becky & Josh’s wedding came at a time when a lot was happening! Becky started a new job, the couple moved house and they had been travelling a lot before the wedding, so they planned their wedding during the in-between moments and had to make the time count. Becky & Josh made sure to pick suppliers they liked as people, it meant a lot to the couple that everyone at the wedding was someone who would put them at ease. Becky & Josh wanted to shout out their wedding coordinator, who made sure the day was “the best one of our lives”. Of course, the couple also wanted to mention Grace Elizabeth, who “was absolutely perfect in every way”.
Becky feels very lucky to have both of her maternal grandparents present, who are both in their 90s. They are a massive inspiration to Becky & Josh as they fell in love as teenagers growing up and, have been married for over 70 years, and are still just as in love as they were when they first met. You can see how affectionate they are in the pictures! Becky said, “If Josh and I have half the marriage they've had, I would consider us lucky.” As such an inspiration, it was only right that Becky & Josh had Becky’s grandad as their witness who signed the register with them. Such a beautiful and special moment!
A standout moment was when all the bridesmaids arrived. Helen came from Cyprus, Louise from Canada and Hanna from South Korea. They'd all made such an effort to be there and Hanna's flight had got delayed until midnight the morning of, so when I woke up and she was there it was like the final piece clicked into place and I was ready. She was also the last one the dance floor with us!

We love Becky & Josh’s colour palette and the use of peaches and corals. If you didn’t know, peach is the Pantone colour of the year for 2024 and it looks beautiful when used in weddings.
