Hannah & Alex brought Italy to Norfolk with their Tuscany-style wedding! If you can't get to Italy, bring Italy to you! Olive trees and lemons are all you need! With their own grove of olive trees, plenty of lemon decor, and an elegant satin Ghost wedding dress, Hannah & Alex absolutely nailed their hybrid-themed day! With Recommended supplier, Alice Cunliffe Photography, capturing the day and Recommended supplier, Papier, providing the stationery too, it truly is an incredible day. Hannah & Alex also chose Recommended supplier, The Wedding Present Co, for their gift list.
We began with Rock My Wedding's Recommended suppliers but this was just the beginning of hunting for suppliers. So many suppliers were booked up because of the Covid backlog and we ended up using Instagram a lot to stalk our suppliers to ensure they were the right ones for us. Our venue and caterer were both friends, our florist did one of my best friend's weddings and the band my husband chose by putting our wedding date into a single entertainment booking platform and hitting the jackpot!

Hannah wore a simple satin Ghost wedding dress. It was important to Hannah to find a dress she could re-wear. She cycled over to Ghost tried on a dress and bought it there and then! The couple actually spent a lot more money on olive trees! To fit in with the Tuscan theme, Hannah & Alex bought olive trees they could keep and grow for years to come. To bring in some vibes of the Amalfi Coast, Hannah's mum made some red-striped tree skirts to cover the pots that resemble the classic red-striped beach umbrellas. Hannah & Alex agreed that their photographer really stole the show and captured all their new and special memories so beautifully. We love how the Tuscan/Italian summer vibes really come through!
Hannah had always wanted to get married in Italy but Alex was adamant about getting married in his childhood village. So the couple settled on a Tuscany-style wedding in Norfolk. With the weather on their side, they created a stunning olive tree-lined terrace area with bowls of lemons! They also had terracotta pots of rosemary as table centrepieces. The reception was held at a friend's back garden overlooking the Norfolk coast, it's such a dreamy backdrop. The food also fits in with the theme including big sharing platters with an Italian alfresco lunch-style menu. The couple did a massive amount of the wedding themselves and it was a real team effort between the families, which made the day so special.
Everyone says the moments you sneak away with your new husband/wife are so unique, which was so true for us. Our photographer, Alice, took us away for a few snaps just at the end of the garden so we weren't away for too long but it was perfect. Also, the few moments you make yourself step back and watch all your guests having fun, mingling across groups and just being happy celebrating with you gives you a glow you will remember forever. Oh, and walking down the aisle in church with my new husband!
