There is always a reason to smile, and today's reason is most definitely our bride's blue wedding dress. Combined with the fact this wedding took place at the gorgeous Killruddery House and Gardens wedding venue in Ireland, which is full of stunning architecture, picturesque settings and decorated elegantly with greenery garlands, a geode wedding cake, and a rustic seating chart.
What Made Our Day Unique
The Irish culture has a lot of traditions that were new to me: passing of the rings, handfasting, etc. and we were sure to include those in the ceremony. With over 75 people flying over from America, it was fun knowing that my friends and family from the US were also experiencing a wedding in a new way and in a different country. Being surrounded by the most important people in our lives was a humbling, surreal experience.Madeline & Domhnall
Inspiration & Styling
After my first visit to Greystones, Ireland to visit Domhnall's family for the first time, I was mesmerized by the Irish Sea. It was breathtaking - and walking distance from his childhood home! The grey sky mixed with the grey rocks and water laid the foundation for our styling. I commissioned a watercolour artist to paint the Irish Sea for our custom envelope liners and that carried over into everything else from the cake design to my dressMadeline & Domhnall
Our ethos is clear on Rock My Wedding, we want every single one of our couples to have your day your way. It's lovely to hear bride Madeline echoing our thoughts too - "Your wedding day doesn't have to fit into a box. If you want to do something that isn't typically the 'norm' and it's right for you and your spouse, go for it!" And on that note, we highly recommend you give our Self Worth Podcast a listen because as long as you follow your heart, and stay true to your style, we truly believe your wedding will be fabulous and you'll have the time of your life.
