Ella’s whimsical wedding dress is everything! It’s official…we want a Watters wedding dress, too. Ella found her dream dress at Recommended supplier, & Wolf Bridal. Set against the luxe backdrop of Recommended venue, St Giles House in Dorset, Ella & Santino's romantic wedding includes seasonal florals in a peach, orange and pink colour palette, a candle-lit wedding breakfast in the library, and a reception in the basement nightclub! Is it too early to enquire at this venue when we're not even engaged? Pfft, of course not. Recommended supplier, Katie Rogers Photography, was present to capture every beautiful detail.
We absolutely loved the speeches at our wedding. We had the traditional speech order but added Ella's sister in too, every speech was hilarious and had everyone in stitches. One of the groomsmen was the Master of Ceremonies instead of a supplier. He worked the room really well and gave constant comic relief. Another moment was the last songs of the night, we chose two that we loved and knew all of our friends would love. Everyone was singing along together on the dancefloor, and it was such a special end to the day!
Ella & Santino
Whilst Ella & Santino wanted their day to be relaxed, they loved the classic and traditional styling of a British wedding. The couple embraced a romantic and whimsical vibe and weren't afraid to add in some pops of colour. From the English garden florals in seasonal shades of peaches, pinks, and oranges, which went perfectly with the pink bridesmaid dresses and the late summer season. The venue was decorated in meadow-like florals with the wedding breakfast taking place in the library of St Giles House. It was all so quintessentially British! Ella's whimsical wedding dress by Watters with off-the-shoulder puff sleeves and a flowing skirt is simply divine! She had a true princess moment and chose the perfect dress to uphold the theme.
After dinner was Ella & Santino's favourite part of the day. The couple had a cocktail hour with amazing live music at their country house wedding venue. The band then led everyone down to the speakeasy nightclub in the basement at St Giles House in Dorset. The couple had their first dance to 'No Letting Go' by Wayne Wonder, so the party really was getting started! Ella's wedding inspired her to start her own wedding stationery business. Because of help from friendly wedding suppliers, she's been completely packed since she launched in November! All of the couple's wedding suppliers were beyond perfect, but they wanted to specially mention Katie (photographer), Hollie (florist) and Charlotte (St. Giles House coordinator), the day was truly perfect because of them.
Everyone says this, but stick to your guns when it comes to your guest list! Having a room filled with people we were really close to (most of who knew each other) made sure the vibe was perfect all day. Another thing to bear in mind; no matter how timeless your wedding style is, at some point, it will feel dated. You may as well have fun with it! I nearly avoided colour because of how it might date, but it's the perfect time to be creative and try something new - so don't worry about how it'll look in 10 years.
