Ok, take a seat. You’ll need one when you start scrolling through this Danesfield House wedding. We’re giving you Bridgerton vibes. We’re giving you a dog in a floral collar. We’re giving you hot, fire, flames. Bringing different cultures and backgrounds together, Xinmei & Josh took both her British Chinese heritage and Josh’s US Air Force and incorporated it into their big day. Going for a romantic, soft and glamorous vibe, this beautiful venue provided the perfect backdrop for all those florals and soft draping fabrics. Xinmei & Josh were able to plan their wedding from the US, and chose Recommended suppliers, Prezola, to provide their gift list and W4 Wedding Films as their videographer. Great choices!
After I found the venue, I took inspiration from their ballroom which is called the Versailles Suite. It has pink, green and lots of gold (gold chandeliers to gold mirrors), similar to a French chateau ballroom.

Incorporating our backgrounds and cultures was a big project! I asked our cake supplier to add a Chinese 'double happiness symbol' to the cake. We also asked the local US Air Force Honor Guard to come and perform the sabre arch for our ceremony, making it completely personal to us. Lastly, we really want our dog to be part of the day. So, we flew her over with us (as we currently live in the US). She was our ring bearer and flower girl!
The first major supplier I found was the venue, Danesfield House. As I live in the US, I wasn't able to visit many wedding open evenings or wedding shows so I made full use of the internet and Instagram to find a venue that I thought was beautiful. After I found Danesfield House, I found most of my other suppliers through Instagram or Google. Try to get as many suppliers booked as early as possible, it saves so much stress down the line!
It's hard to call out a favourite moment as we loved every minute of our wedding, but if we had to choose one, I'd say it was our vows. It was so special and meaningful to be able to finally get to say them in front of our friends and family.

This Danesfield House wedding is honestly picture perfect. We absolutely love how perfectly the colour scheme works alongside the venue. Not to mention those incredible couples' portraits taken on the grounds! Oh, and your dog as the ring bearer? We will always approve.
