This tropical wedding theme shoot is everything we never knew we needed! An eclectic mix of laid back island vibes, cool industrial chic and a touch of traditional English countryside. Who needs a destination wedding when you can bring the tropics to Yorkshire? Recommended Supplier, Laura Williams Photography captured this stunning set up as part of a wider workshop by Light and Soul Workshops. The gorgeous wide-legged jumpsuit, is perfect for a tropical bridal look, as well as an evening outfit change.
With coconuts, shells, dried florals and hammocks, this shoot was all about destination vibes inspired by the jungle and beach.Laura Williams Photography
Nestled in the woods of Yorkshire, White Skye Fields was the perfect backdrop for this workshop. 'The Piggery' is white walled and pouring with natural light and an industrial feel so gave an incredible contrast with the jungle vibes. 'The Wheelhouse' was full of ambience and romance and perfect for that evening reception (or a Jeep!). Set back behind some trees was the most gorgeous lake with a velvety layer of algae covering the surface.
This workshop was hosted by Rosanna Lilly Photography as part of Light and Soul Workshops, styled by Mave Weddings. We had such an incredible team bringing together far away feels in Yorkshire, but somehow making us feel like we were thousands of miles away from home in a remote island in the Pacific. The dried florals by Out Of The Bloom with a soft dreamy muted colour palette contrasted beautifully with all the greenery and plants, for the ultimate tropical feel.
This shoot definitely ended on a high. Josh and Liv got in a little boat on the dreamy algae covered lake and set off some smoke bombs. As the smoke bounced off the lake and filled the scene, it felt totally surreal. We definitely did not feel like we were in Yorkshire at this point!Laura Williams Photography
There are so many ways to style a tropical wedding theme. While this shoot is full of neutral tones, you may want to style your ceremony with bursts of colour. And what's a tropical wedding without a few epic floral installations?
