Aswarby Rectory Wedding With Seasonal Flowers

Photography by Steven Haddock Photography

Choosing to marry at Aswarby Rectory because of its stunning minimalist features, Isabelle & Jess had such a stunning autumnal October wedding. The two brides met on a night out in Derby and it was love at first sight. Shortly after meeting, Jess’ mum trained Isabelle in floristry and then they set up a wedding flower business, Violet & Vine. How cute! Isabelle & Jess' friend stepped up as celebrant for the day. It was her first wedding and she has since gone into business as a celebrant! Isabelle wore a pre-loved Willowby by Watters wedding dress and it’s beautiful! The couple found their wedding band through Recommended Supplier, Entertainment Nation! There were so many personal moments to this big day, let’s get into them…

A number of our suppliers were family and friends - Isabelle runs a wedding floristry business with her mother-in-law, Julie. It was always planned that they would create the floral designs for our day. Chloe Green is a close friend to us both. She was looking into a career as a celebrant and wanted to 'try it out'. She was incredible and no one could believe it was her first go! Steve's photography style was exactly what we were after, candid-focused with an editorial edge.

Aswarby Rectory

Isabelle & Jess have always been very drawn to Aswarby Rectory because the aesthetic is completely them. Aswarby Rectory is the ultimate country house wedding venue - the decor and the style is exactly what the couple aspires to have in their own home. The couple kept this minimalist vibe with just the right amount of luxury. Their ceremony was magic! Conducted by a close friend who had spoken to friends and family to create a bespoke masterpiece, the ceremony was personal, funny, and emotional. In lieu of table numbers, old wedding photos from Isabelle and Jess’ family were framed. Isabelle & Jess’ mums walked them down the aisle too! We're tearing up!

Willowby By Watters

This gorgeous couple were so pleased with their boho lace wedding dresses. They felt perfect for them and complemented each other beautifully. Isabelle & Jess helped each other find their dresses. The couple weren't bothered about tradition. The brides then got ready with all their bridesmaids and both mums in the morning laughing non-stop! Isabelle's sister and bridesmaid did their wedding makeup. By taking away the tradition of not seeing each other until the aisle, the brides were able to properly relax and enjoy the build-up to the big day. Isabelle & Jess' mums made the flower girl dresses and the embroidered napkins, which doubled as wedding favours

As cliché as it sounds, enjoy it all and try not to put too much pressure on the day. It's one hell of a party and you want to be present and as chilled as you can so you can enjoy every minute. Small details and traditions don't have to be such a big deal, do whatever makes you both the happiest and most comfortable.

Isabelle & Jess
