Cancelling your original plans and heading to NYC for a Central Park wedding? Um, yes please! We cannot get enough of Hannah’s bespoke jumpsuit with a thigh-high split and pockets (seriously, we just love pockets). Their intimate ceremony took place in the Shakespeare Gardens of Central Park. They then embarked on an 8-hour post-wedding photoshoot around Manhattan and Brooklyn! They were even treated to a live musical interlude during their ceremony, due to the Lumineers and Greenday sound checking for a gig the next day - does it get much cooler than that!? We don’t think so.
Inspiration & Styling
We really wanted our day to embrace the New York way of life; full of style and art, but with adventure! We fully embraced this vibe and barely planned a thing! We left everything to last minute, and didn’t even have a table booked for dinner until the day of the wedding. My parents befriended some locals in a bar and managed to get a wine cellar room booked in the Trattoria Dell’Arte restaurant just off Times Square!Hannah & Adam
Hannah & Adam felt as though their wedding was becoming about pleasing others rather than themselves, so made the decision to elope in order to have the wedding of their dreams. We love this idea if it means ensuring your happiness and having the best day possible! Central Park provides a stunning setting for those ceremony photos, and offers different packages, allowing you to tailor your day exactly to your desires!
What Made Our Day Unique
We were supposed to get married in the UK initially, but the day became more about pleasing other people than what we wanted, so we decided to cancel our UK venue and elope to NYC. Our closest family and friends came out with us, so we really wanted a big focus on photography to document our whole day, and to share it with those who couldn’t be there with us. Our photographer, Natalie, totally nailed our vision as we embarked on an 8 hour photoshoot across Manhattan and Brooklyn, including the Top of the Rockerfeller Centre and Grand Central Station!Hannah & Adam
