Dorothy hit the nail on the head when she said: "There's no place like home". So it's no wonder Kelly & Charlie decided to host their summer marquee wedding at their parent's house. Their pet dog roamed free all day, the sense of peace and serenity shone through every capture, and everyone looked completely relaxed. Kelly wore a figure-hugging slip wedding dress and lace edge veil with billows in the wind as glides from guest to guest and during the couple's portraits. Every detail and every moment has been beautifully documented by Recommended Supplier Cara Zagni Photography.
We wanted to get married somewhere meaningful to us. So, having grown up on a farm, it seemed like we couldn't miss the opportunity to get married at Charlie's family home. We had the ceremony in his parents' back garden, which made the day really unique for us. It was amazing to see so many of our friends and family, who had travelled far and wide, come together to share our day.
Kelly & Charlie
Kelly & Charlie wanted a wedding day that was personal to them, with a relaxed, English country garden theme. They hoped for a warm summer day (but not too warm!) where everyone could relax outside. Talk about getting exactly(!) what you wished for. It was the perfect summer marquee wedding complete with DIY decor, pastel flowers, trees (which they replanted on the farm) and glorious weather. Did we mention the alternative cheese tower wedding cake?
Almost stealing the show was Kelly & Charlie's Spaniel Goldie. They had always wanted to include him in their day and spoke about him being their ring bearer. And although they never practised it until the ceremony, he walked down the aisle right on cue when Charlie whistled. Your hearts are melting, our hearts are melting, and all Kelly & Charlie's wedding guests' hearts melted too. What a special moment. We love to see pets at weddings.
We followed hashtags on Instagram like #norfolkwedding and then started following various suppliers from there. We also followed several Norfolk-based photographers as well and then looked at the recommended suppliers sections on their websites. Charlie's cousin is a chef in Norfolk, so she recommended our caterer to us. He was fantastic from start to finish. Further advice would be, don't stress about the small stuff. Go with your instincts and enjoy it!
