Just because you're having a micro wedding, it doesn't mean you can't have the ceremony in the rustic wedding venue of your dreams at Stratton Court Barn. Connie and Luch decided to postpone their reception until October and go ahead with an intimate and covid secure ceremony with their close family. After looking at the incredible photos full of love and laughter, we're so happy that they did!
We didn't plan a vibe for the day but looking back it was all about celebrating the love we have for each other. Due to postponing from May, and then the restrictions at the time, we decided that the ceremony was most important and the people meant more than the decorations. Stratton Court Barn was rustic and full of character so created a perfect backdrop for the day on its own.Connie & Luch
My favourite part was after the ceremony when we had a few moments to ourselves and we just held each other and cried happy tears, quickly followed by our photographer Natalie J Weddings pulling us away as a full rainbow appeared. This was extra special as I lost my mother at a young age and this moment felt like her and others we lost were sending their love.Connie
Two people we couldn't have done it all without was Karin, our wedding coordinator at Stratton Court Barn and Natalie our photographer. With all of the restrictions and covid measures it was a very stressful and uncertain time, but they kept in regular communication throughout the process. We were so close to cancelling everything at one point. However, in hindsight are so pleased we went ahead because the day was more special that we could have imagined.Connie & Luch
Connie and Luch aren't the only newlyweds who have no regrets about scaling down their wedding due to restrictions. As Eleri and Gareth and Steven and Ben (who also had an intimate ceremony at Stratton Barn Court) can attest, a micro wedding can still be the beautiful day you always dreamed of.
