Sarah & John always knew they wanted to get married at Restaurant Park Hvar. From the moment they met in Hvar, Croatia and the many trips they took after that, they simply loved the chilled vibes Restaurant Park had to offer. Picture it now - A multicultural wedding surrounded by the gorgeous limestone bricks of the Old Town, the lush turquoise waters of the ocean, and vibrant green palm trees… Gosh sorry, I got a little bit lost in a destination daydream there. Sarah & John’s gorgeous three-day wedding was captured by Andrea Grzicic and planned by, Recommended Supplier Something Blue Croatia, and we know you will fall in love with it. Plus, with a gift list from Recommended supplier Prezola, this wedding really does have it all!
Don't sweat the small stuff! As you start planning, spend time considering which elements of the wedding are most important to you. After you set your priorities, don't get lost in the other details. Let your professionals take some creative license and make these decisions; you'll reduce stress and likely save money in the process! For example, unless you feel strongly about having specific flowers on the day, let your florist do what they do best! Your florist will have significant experience in curating arrangements and will also know what is in season and available at a good price.

When your guests are travelling from 20 different cities around the world, you may as well have a destination wedding at Restaurant Park Hvar. Sarah & John wanted the motto of their wedding to be ‘fun island vibes’, and there is no doubt they nailed it! They decided to have three days of events, including a welcome dinner, where Sarah & John wore traditional South Asian outfits with some seriously incredible bridal accessories, and a boat party, where everyone could enjoy a slice of the Adriatic sea. The decor at the reception consisted of coral and blush florals, but they kept the theme simple to let the natural beauty shine.
Sarah & John wanted their wedding to be full of surprises so their friends and family could have an incredible time. The surprises started with a boat trip from the hotel to the Franciscan Monastery for the ceremony, which featured an acoustic version of ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. This was followed by a saxophonist accompanying all the guests on the 10-minute walk to the reception. Everyone danced the whole way, and even onlookers applauded. Sarah & John also had custom tote bags made for the favours with an illustration of Hvar on them, which made for a great wedding keepsake.
For anyone considering a destination wedding, do it! Or if you're debating having a welcome party or post-wedding event, do it! Everyone tells you that the wedding day flies by in a flash, and they're right. We were so thankful to have multiple opportunities to create lasting memories with our guests throughout the wedding weekend, and it also gave everyone else additional time to get to know each other. With our families living on different continents, it meant a lot to us that they were able to have extended time to get to know each other.
