This pastel wedding theme inspiration with its sorbet tones and iridescent blooms is blowing our minds. Not only do we want to reach out and eat the florals by Recommended supplier Moody blooms because they look delicious, but we also desperately want to ride the carousel at Preston Court wedding venue. With everything planned and styled by, Recommended supplier, Pink Palms featuring many more of our Recommended suppliers to complement the grand organ and the surroundings.
Preston Court is one of Kent’s most coveted wedding venues, known for its quirky take on a traditional barn venue - complete with a vintage carousel, festoon lighting in the courtyard, a beautiful lakeside pergola for intimate outdoor ceremonies and a swanky rustic bar. Breathtaking yet welcoming and relaxing all at the same time. We wanted to bring something different to a barn venue in Kent, our job is to bring couples fresh inspiration again and again!Ashleigh of Pink Palms
We decided to run with the idea of pastels and pearlescent finishes to complement not only the amazing vintage organs in the barn but the carousel too. When you have something so recognisable that is such a stand out backdrop like the organs, styling with those in mind is key to keeping the theme in harmony with the surroundings. We added modern aspects to create something totally unique for barn wedding inspiration. Jo at Moody Blooms really ran with the brief adding anthuriums with a pearlescent finish, whilst metallic bridesmaid dresses complemented the florals in the bouquets and table design.
We leaned into a modern look for the couples and bridesmaids because a traditional barn setting doesn’t always have to be boho! We had gorgeous luxurious dresses from Berta from Victoria Lou Bridal and matched the bridesmaids in simple but beautiful gold silk slip dresses with all the girls wearing Charlotte Mills Shoes. Hair by Bridal Hair by Suzy was effortlessly sleek, adding to the modern glam - and beautiful makeup by Lou McIntosh kept the whole celebrity look harmonious, with simple gold & pearl jewellery from The Vamoose for the finishing touch.
Each Milkshake Kisses wedding styled workshop has excitement and entertainment at its core, as every wedding should have - this time with incredible live vocals from Jack Hawitt (as seen in BBC Music Introducing, The Voice) for the indoor and outdoor twilight first dance scenes. With attendees of varying experience keen to expand their portfolios with inspiring photo and video content, Pierra supported the eager photographers with posing and camera techniques whilst Russell was on hand to aid the budding videographers with the best settings and tips for creating cinematic looking footage.
