Aine & Ashley’s Lila’s Wood wedding is a whimsical wedding wonder. The couple wanted their day to be personal to them and to show their friends and family the storybook of their relationship. And there’s no doubt this wedding looked like an absolute fairytale! With thanks to the incredible Recommended supplier, Jason Mark Harris, for capturing it all! Aine wore a boho lace wedding dress complete with a flower crown and shoes from Recommended supplier, Rainbow Club.
Like most couples getting married, you may get caught up in the latest trends and develop an insane wedding Pinterest board. You'll want to please your families (speaking from experience) but this is a day to celebrate the two of you. Hopefully, you will be together for the rest of your lives and this is only one day. So just make sure the decisions you make for this special day please both of you and you won’t regret anything in the future.
Aine & Ashley
Aine & Ashley wanted everything to look natural without being too bohemian. They wanted their guests to walk into the glade at Lila's Wood feeling like they were in a fairytale. For the styling, the couple kept things romantic and whimsical with pops of pink and orange. With the outfits, Aine & Ashley went for earthy vibes with lots of green shades. Aine wanted to look like a true fairy queen (and we can confirm she absolutely did!). With a flower crown and a boho lace wedding dress with off-the-shoulder sleeves and 3D flowers, this bridal look is beautiful!
Aside from the humanist ceremony itself, which was so personal and moving, Aine & Ashley's favourite moment of the day was deciding to go off in the camper van after the ceremony for a short drive around the country roads. It meant the couple could have time to properly talk with each other and catch a minute before reentering the whirlwind of the rest of the day. Aine & Ashley both have anxiety and having a minute to check in and ground with each other helped immensely. After, they both felt ready to enjoy the evening at Lila's Wood!
To cut back on costs we did some DIY! Ashley did origami cranes for the large tent, Aine bought loads of chinaware from charity shops and flowers to pop in them for table decorations and one of our bridesmaids, who is an incredible baker, made our cake and macaroons as table favours. The humidity melted the flowers she made for the cake but they were stunning and people's main takeaway from the wedding was the cake!
