Is there anything more romantic than picking out your wedding outfits together? We're not sure there is. If you're looking for gay couple goals, Kevin and Alvaro's Spanish mountaintop elopement might just be the most romantic ceremony you see today. Look at how happy they are! Get yourself a partner who looks at you the way that Kevin looks at Alvaro.
At first, Kevin and Alvaro wanted a micro wedding with just 30 guests, however when the pandemic started they knew they wanted to elope. Having local suppliers was a must to ensure that the day ran smoothly as travel restrictions tightened. They wanted a wild and free atmosphere; complete with Volkswagen camper van, chilled out festival seating and traditional Spanish small plate food like tapas. Um, yes please!
The week before our wedding we had rain every day and we were super worried how this would affect our chilled out decoration. But on Sunday the 15th of November, it was 22 degrees and sunny! So it was meant to be our big day. It was a unique day for both of us, in the middle of nature without any stress, everything was just perfect.Kevin & Alvaro
As Kevin and Alvaro are both Spanish, they wanted traditional Spanish food, which looked nothing short of amazing. When they chose to elope they opted for small bites like Spanish tapas, cheese boards, and bread and pâté, supplied by Goyo Catering. For any keen wine sommeliers, the couple chose to toast with a 2015 Vega Sicília Valbuena 5º Año. Salud!
What could be more couple goals than getting pampered together beforehand? Kevin and Alvaro worked with designer Felix Ramiro to create their dream wedding outfits. They chose light grey suits with soft, breathable fabric that would be perfect to wear in the Spanish sun. We love that their waistcoats and ties are so different to add a pop of their personalities!
We would encourage new couples to dare more: dare to be different and do what your soul really wants. At the end of the day life can change so quickly and love wins over any pandemic or lockdown. Be brave enough to see things from another perspective, show who you are without being afraid what people will say, it is your special day and the decision is yours.Kevin & Alvaro
We couldn't agree more Kevin, it's your day your way! Eloping to have your wedding in the heart of nature has understandably become more popular over the past year due to the pandemic, and it's a great option for those planning in a short time frame.
