Cooling Castle Wedding With Hanging Lanterns

We love a rustic barn wedding, and Cooling Castle is giving us all those great vibes. Always knowing they wanted to marry in a barn, Georgia and Dan recreated the moment they were engaged in Mykonos, complete with a saxophonist playing. We absolutely love the rustic and cosy look of the venue, which works perfectly alongside the chic styling and decor. Will hanging lanterns ever go out of style? We don’t think so. Their day consisted of pastel colours, sleek bridesmaid dresses and a lace wedding dress by Recommended designer, Made With Love. We won’t forget it in a hurry!

We always knew we wanted to get married in a barn and recreate the moment we got engaged in Mykonos with a saxophonist playing. We also wanted a chilled vibe. It was exactly how we had dreamt - and the weather was perfect too. We went for pastel colours; white for the bridesmaids and flowers.

FAVOURITE MOMENT

The ceremony was my favourite. I was so excited to walk down the aisle! The sun was beaming and we had such a girly morning getting ready. We had been picturing and planning the day for nearly 3 years so it was such an amazing feeling to have everyone in one place to celebrate with us. My nan did a lovely reading too during the ceremony which will always be one of my favourite memories!

3D FLOWER WEDDING GOWN

I had seen Chloe Lloyd's wedding and her wedding dress was my inspiration. I loved the 3D flowers, so I knew whatever dress I chose I wanted to add this all over the dress and veil to make the dress my own. Miss Kay Seamstress did such an amazing job and I am so pleased I decided to do this. The headband I chose also complimented the floral lace on my dress perfectly.

Due to Covid this was our third date, but thankfully the majority of our suppliers we had chosen and booked could accommodate the new date and I am a true believer that everything happens for a reason. Being engaged for a year longer than anticipated meant I had researched everyone and every supplier and I don’t regret anyone we chose. We went to a few wedding fairs but the main research was done via Instagram.
