Drummer meets dancer and gets wed at Clock Barn wedding venue in Wiltshire. What a love story! Culminating with the grooms band performing together after five years and everyone having a great time. Emily wore a fitted dress with. The. Most. Incredible applique back detail, and a customised leather jacket. Every moment is full of joy, and personal touches guaranteed to make you smile.
Clock Barn wedding venue was a no-brainer for me. My dad has MS and uses a wheelchair. They were the most accommodating venue we'd seen and listened to my concerns, particularly about going down the aisle together. I found Josie from Folk and Films Photography on Instagram and her photos spoke for themselves. They were the exact vibe we were going for. I met Nick our Videographer at a wedding fair and he is hilarious. I think it is important to get on with your suppliers as they will be spending a lot of time with you throughout the day.Emily & Matt
We wanted to keep the vibe relaxed, simple and un-fussy. The focus was on being in the moment and savouring having our nearest and dearest around us. A lot of the decorations etc were made by us or loved ones. Matt's Auntie made our flower arrangements and she helped us come up with a lot of the ideas and was really onboard with trying her hand at incorporating succulents into every aspect possible. The 'name cards' were copper plant labels that Matt hand-stamped himself.
Watching Matt’s old band ‘The Stanley Blacks’ performing for the first time in 5 years was one of my favourite moments. They are a huge part of our love story as that’s how we met 10 years prior. I was a dancer in one of their performances. They all live on different continents now, so it was very special to see them all play together again at our wedding.
Don't stress about the small things. Something will inevitably not go to plan but the guests will not notice. We couldn't put all our table decorations out with all the food on the table. But. no one realises this apart from yourself. What people remember from weddings is how good the food was and how much of an enjoyable time they had. As long as you've nailed those 2 things then it's going to be amazing. The most important thing of all is that you both enjoy yourselves.Emily & Matt
This isn't the first wedding we've featured at Clock Barn. Nor I'm sure will it be the last. It's such an incredible venue and we love that it was accessible so Emily could share her aisle entrance with her father. For more rustic barn weddings see Charlotte and Jared's intimate affair. And, Emily and Rob's, emotional day with one of the best bridal entrance reactions we've ever shared! Tissues at the ready!
