Natalie & Youssuf’s Recommended venue Hedsor House wedding features a traditional Zaffa band alongside plenty of Arabic and English influences. And trust us, it’s just as dreamy as you’d imagine. Both being medical doctors and working through the pandemic, this gorgeous couple won their wedding planner through an Instagram competition for frontline NHS workers! They opted for elegant black tie styling, complete with a string quartet, scents of Jo Malone and Oud candles. Natalie’s gown featured cuttings of lace from her mother’s wedding dress to create an off-the-shoulder look. Their day was beautifully captured by Recommended photographer, Poppy Carter Portraits, and videography from Schmittat, alongside a Gift List from The Wedding Shop. Don’t let us keep you, you’ll want plenty of scrolling time for this one…
Our first look was such a special moment. We were able to spend some time together before the wedding in the gardens of Hedsor. This allowed us to absorb the moment as well as have some photos taken.

Invest in your photographer as it's the pictures you look at every day to remind you of the wonderful day. Consider a first look - not only does it mean you can take a lot of photos before the wedding meaning you have more time with your guests later on but it also allows a quiet, intimate moment for just the two of you. It is one of our favourite moments of the wedding.
It was important to us that we combined our two cultures. The English aspect is present in the beautiful venue, an English stately home and we used seasonal British flowers. As a nod to Youssuf's heritage, we had a traditional Egyptian wedding Zaffa band that led guests from the drinks reception to the dining room. It was a surprise for the guests and everyone joined in with the dancing. It was the perfect way to build up an appetite!
A big thank you to all the suppliers who assisted in the rearranging of our wedding from the original date in March to September due to the COVID19 pandemic. They made what we thought would be a very stressful time, seamlessly easy and were all incredibly supportive and reassuring.

We love the incorporation of a Zaffa band into this glorious day as a nod to Youssuf’s heritage! Are you looking to plan a multicultural wedding? Don’t go anywhere, we’ve got plenty of inspiration…
