A structural white wedding bouquet will never fail to wow us and Hollie’s has our jaws on the floor! Opting for an all-white modern city wedding at Recommended venue, Devonshire Terrace, Hollie & Chris were all about doing things they wanted to do without compromise! You tell ‘em! The couple didn’t feel the need to be traditional and the best compliment they received on the day was, ‘It’s so you two’. This incredible wedding day was the perfect reflection of them. Hollie found her dream dress at Recommended supplier, The Bridal Boutique Warwickshire. The couple also chose Recommended supplier, Wedding Smashers, to help find their DJ and saxophonist that kept the party going until the early hours.
Our advice would be to don’t do anything you don’t really want to do just to please someone else. Book suppliers you have total faith in and let them do their thing! Choose details that are important to you and make an impact with them, rather than spreading your budget across lots of small things that may become lost. Relax and enjoy every moment, it really is the most amazing day of your life and you will feel so so happy. If you can spread the celebration across a few days I highly recommend you do as you won’t want the bubble to burst.
Hollie & Chris
Hollie & Chris' opted for a black-tie city wedding with a white-on-white colour scheme. After meeting in London and spending 5 years there together, they knew they wanted a modern wedding in the city! Their reception was energetic and combined 'Ibiza vibes with a kitchen party feel'! The wedding lasted the whole weekend and is certainly one we won't forget in a hurry. From that structural white wedding bouquet to that fun white bridal denim jacket, it's gorgeous! Hollie works as a wedding stationer, so she did all the signs, place cards, banners and more herself. She knew she wanted all whites, a mix of papers, structural flowers, and acrylic details softened by white drapes. Despite working in the industry, Hollie used Rock My Wedding to help find the venue!
Hollie & Chris' favourite moment of their day was the first dance! The DJ mixed the My Love acoustic version by Jess Glynne with the dance version by Route 94. Hollie said she was lost in her own little world with Chris and then suddenly became aware of all our guests singing to them. It took her breath away. When the dance version kicked in, the sax player joined in with all the guests. People were on shoulders and no one stopped partying from then until 2 am! A friend made playlists for each part of the day, which were incredible keepsakes. For the ceremony, the couple walked back up the aisle to U Sure Do by Strike, with confetti being thrown and it was so so good! One of the readings the couple chose was ‘Union’ by Robert Fulghum.
We wanted to shout out the venue staff for being fantastic throughout, meeting us at the top of the aisle with champagne, and remembering my parents when they visited weeks later. Boomting Bunting put in so much effort to help us with a large styling issue, saving me from a meltdown. Our photographers and videographer worked tirelessly in the heat, yet our guests didn’t even notice they were there! True professionals! Our saxophonist and DJ gave us our dream party. Our guests were blown away, as were we!
