The Ferry House, Kent

I don’t even know where to start - The Ferry House was the perfect venue for our big day. Nothing was too much trouble and they made the whole planning process so easy. They decorated the venue with my DIY decorations without any issues, they answered my constant emails (crazy quickly!) and even put up with me doing everything last minute! The actual day itself, they were so helpful, excited for us and just made us feel amazing! The venue is just absolutely gorgeous - nearly every guest came up to us on the day to tell us how amazing it was and they honestly felt it was the best wedding they had been to! All thanks to The Ferry House. If we could do it all again we would both choose The Ferry House again in an instant.

The best team of people you could ask for! Every single person we spoke with was so helpful and lovely to deal with. They made our day so special and run seamlessly! We couldn’t have asked for a better team! The food and drink is the best around, locally sourced making it all taste so much better! And the views, away from everything so you can really soak in the day with your loved ones with no distractions! Couldn’t ask for more.

If you’re looking for the perfect wedding, in a perfect beautiful venue with picturesque scenery accompanied by delicious food, then The Ferry House is for you! My husband and I got married here at the start of October and everything from start to finish has been perfect. The help and support from the Team in every wedding aspect has been excellent. Every single individual we’ve had contact with, have provided friendly professional service, nothing was ever too much for them. We stayed the night of our wedding and so did other family members and everyone has commented on how lovely the venue is, how clean and welcoming the rooms are and how good the food was too. I cannot thank everyone enough for helping us celebrate our special day, but an extra heartfelt thanks must go to Maxine and Chloe.

From our very first meeting at The Ferry House in 2021, we fell in love with the venue. The wedding team are all faultless, they are always on hand to answer any questions. Towards the final months Sam became our Wedding Coordinator and was with us on the wedding day, seeing everything went smoothly. Which I can say it did. We had planned an outside wedding but due to the weather this wasn’t possible, so we had the ceremony in the barn instead. Our wedding breakfast was in the Event Suite and looked absolutely amazing. The venue itself is picturesque and facilities are outstanding. The groom & groomsmen got ready in the Garden Lodge, and myself and my bridal party got ready at Mocketts Farm Cottages that is also part of The Ferry House. We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. The food is outstanding, and all the rooms that are available at The Ferry House are decorated to a very high standard. Coming down for breakfast with our guests the next morning really added to our special time spent at The Ferry House. We absolutely had the most amazing wedding and highly recommend this venue.

We married here in August 2024, having viewed the venue and booked our wedding in July 2022. This place is worth the waiting list and every single penny. Our wedding day here was everything we wanted and more. The Ferry House really has it all… the food is superb, most of it is grown on the premises, and the drinks are locally sourced, the cocktails are an absolute knockout! When we visited this place for a viewing we were blown away - and when our guests joined us to celebrate two years later, they were similarly blown away with how beautiful it is here and the outstanding quality of the food and the drinks. We’ve been to quite a few events at beautiful places where the catering has been a bit disappointing, but the Ferry House is so special because it has both! The grounds are stunning particularly on a beautiful English summer’s day, which we were lucky enough to have. This meant we could marry outside at the beautiful gazebo, have our photos in the secret orchard and down by the water. Our guests enjoyed the grounds all day long, especially our page boys and flower girls who played in the grounds into the evening. When the sun went down, the moon came out and shone brightly above the estuary… it was just so gorgeous and actually moved one of our guests to tears! Our evening party in the Event Suite was wonderful too. Karl the DJ was great and so accommodating of all of our special requests. The build your own bowl evening buffet was brilliant and guests who’d travelled a long way to join us for the evening told us how lovely it was to actually have a good meal from the restaurant evening buffet at a wedding! We had rooms in the main building included in our package and a few of our guests booked rooms at the Coach House. The rooms here are AMAZING! Our guests loved their rooms and we adored the bridal suite. The furnishings were of amazing quality especially the jacuzzi bath and the ginormous bed which was so welcoming after such whirlwind of a day. The view from our bedroom window was stunning. We woke up early to watch the sunrise and drank a coffee in bed. It was just idyllic. Breakfast the next day was also next level… so tasty. The staff also put out leftover wedding cake on the bar so guests could enjoy some the next morning and take it home with them. A lovely touch! The team here really are superb. Maxine our coordinator went over and above to accommodate all of our requests to ensure our day was perfect. Communication throughout the planning process was thorough and the tasting we had in February was a beautiful evening, we were made to feel so special by Georgina who listened to all our feedback and helped us choose our menu… we were actually struggling because everything was so delicious! That’s how good the food is here! A few weeks before our wedding, the groom’s father was very unwell and ended up in hospital, so on our wedding day he needed some extra TLC and the ferry house staff went out of their way to make sure everything was accessible for him. They were also very accommodating of our little page boy with a severe nut allergy and were so professional, ensuring that everything was safe for him so he was able to get into the celebrations and have an absolute blast! We absolutely love this place and will be coming back for our anniversary. Our guests also want to come back for their own little breaks! It is so beautiful and so special here. The Ferry House really has it all…. we’d 100% recommend them for your wedding, you will not be disappointed. Worth every single penny for memories that’ll last a lifetime. P.S The new Garden Lodge is an amazing place to get ready as a bride. Some venues sort of just dump you in a random room but the lodge is so amazing to get ready in, it even has a little outdoor terrace and private bathroom. We were able to fit a bride, two bridesmaid , MOB, 4 page boys/flower girls, their mums, hairstylist, MUA and our photographer in with no problems!!!
