Millbrook Estate Elopement Weddings

Magical Elopement Had our elopement wedding at Millbrook and it was everything we wanted and more. The team make sure you have everything you need and will have as little or as much communication with you that you desire. The estate and accommodation is stunning but the little touches like welcome cake and freshly baked loaf of bread is what makes it really special. The attention to detail really is amazing and I am very much looking forward to returning to fully appreciate the estate and surrounding areas from a gorgeous relaxing place

Unforgettable elopement ' Millbrook delivered beyond our expectations. The attention to detail has to be seen to be believed. We were welcomed by a lovely music and the smell of freshly baked bread when we stepped into our cottage. The house was clean and homely. We were there for our elopement wedding. All the suppliers we used on their supplier list also delivered beyond our expectations. We want to give a big shout out to the following people who made the whole experience unforgettable. Meg for telling us all about the estate before we booked, Justine for the amazing wedding coordination and catering, Cathy for the stunning makeup and hair, Maria for the awesome photo session and Jennie at The flower shop South Molton for beautiful fresh flowers arranged to our exact request. We loved it so much, we have already rebooked for our wedding anniversary.

' The perfect intimate wedding venue ' The Millbrook estate is so beautiful and set the perfect scene for our wedding. This truly is a little piece of heaven in Devon! The process from the initial enquiry through to us leaving was so easy and we were made to feel very special. No detail was left out and the entire team catered for every request we had, with additional details included that made our experience so memorable. When arriving at our accommodation (Corncott), the arrival instructions were well detailed and easy to follow. Once we opened the door, we were greeted with the beautiful aroma of freshly baked bread, which had just been baked, accompanied by a freshly baked lemon drizzle cake. The accommodation was outstanding and decorated with nice touches. It was spacious and had everything we needed (and more). The attention to detail was remarkable with plenty of user guides/information at hand if needed, including local information and tips left by previous guests. The Millbrook Estate, is truly amazing. The grounds are maintained to the highest standard with every blade of grass attended to, to make this look picture perfect! Nice touches include the hot tub hidden within the woods and the alpacas freely grazing in the field, where we could watch them from our window and had the great pleasure of being able to feed them on our wedding day, this was truly magical! The chickens and ducks are also so friendly and not shy when they come to say 'hello'. On the day of our wedding, we did not have to worry about anything (apart from our own nerves!) as Justine and the team attended to our every need and made sure that we were in the right place at the right time. The approved suppliers are outstanding. It felt like we were being looked after by the "Millbrook family" as their services are so personal and they make your day so special. They make everything look so easy and stress free (But I'm sure a lot of work goes unseen in the background). Justine & Meg are the perfect duo, who work non-stop to make the planning so seamless and stress-free! Hannah (Brighteye Beauty) - did a fantastic job of the brides hair and makeup (as well as making me feel relaxed and at ease) Maria Broome photography - What can we say...? You made us so relaxed and allowed us to be ourselves. You truly made the experience so fun and memorable. We had a delicious cake lovingly made by Lizzie and beautiful flowers by Jennie at The Flower Shop, who made our ideas become reality! Not only was Justine a wonderful wedding co-ordinator, she also catered for our afternoon tea and private dining, this lady is so talented #topchef! Our guests were made to feel like V.I.P's and they were blown away with how amazing everything was. Special thanks again to Bob and Kate for opening up your wonderful home and allowing the world to experience such an amazingly beautiful venue for their perfect wedding. Millbrook will always hold a special place in our hearts and we were so sad to leave, but looking forward to returning back for one of our anniversaries in the near future.

' Heaven on earth ' We stayed in Lake View apartment with a private hot tub and garden. It was very cosy and comfortable, full of special touches which made our stay unforgettable. The smell of freshly baked bread , comfy sofa and beautifully set table all was saying : relax, enjoy and forget about the troubles;) We enjoyed the company of Frankie “cat owner” she supervised our stay and has been around giving us affection which was most welcome. After good night sleep we went to explore the grounds and again peaceful and tranquility of natural beauty made us feel like we discovered lost garden , the time stood still . The cherry on the cake waited for us in our garden the hidden hot tub with the view over green hill and no human presence it was a perfect spot for chilling with a glass or of bubbles;) Our Big Day was perfect , planned and executed by the Millbrook team who delivered exceptional service, we felt like we have been looked after by friends, nothing pretentious with a respected to our personal space and pace. Thank you Meg and everyone again! That personal service and the fact that people who work here truly enjoy what they do , in our opinion is the biggest asset to Millbrook. Me and my husband have been working in hospitality for years and stayed in many hotels , but we have never experience this level of dedication. Kate and Bob must be proud of their team! We want to come back soon !

' Relaxed Elopement Wedding ' We booked Millbrook for our elopement wedding in September 2024. It was very simple to book and we had our own wedding coordinator for the event. She checked in regularly to ensure we had everything we needed prior to our wedding and offer any assistance we might need. We chose Lakeview accommodation and spent three nights there. The accommodation was modern, cosy, and had everything we needed plus our own private garden with an outdoor seating area and a private hot tub. A guidebook was provided prior to our arrival with all the information we could want available in one place (how to access the property, map of the estate, local attractions, what is provided in the accommodation, what we need to bring, etc). Everything we could have needed was provided and we had contact numbers if there were any issues during our stay (there wasn't). We would recommend Millbrook to anybody looking or a break away in North Devon or looking for a place to elope for their wedding. Despite us booking it for our wedding (an event we expected to be slightly stressful/busy) it was easily the most relaxed break we have taken together.
