Dearly Photography

We got married on the 8th of July 2023 at Neidpath Castle and could not have asked for a better photographer than David! We were recommended David by our venue as he had been there several times before. David was the first and only photographer we met with. We knew he was “the one” with his natural approach. We didn’t want lots of staged photographs with our wedding day being spent posing for picture after picture. Whilst we had a few group shots, David blended in to the background capturing all of the precious moments as they happened. Both us and our guests felt so relaxed around him and many commented on what a funny, nice guy he is! David was going on holiday the day after our wedding yet we still received our sneak peek within 24 hours of getting married! We are absolutely delighted with our gallery of beautiful photos- every aspect of the day is captured perfectly if only we had more wall space to have them all up on display! You won’t regret having David as your wedding photographer- he’s one of the loveliest, most genuine people I’ve met. Not to mention the fact that he’s an incredibly hard working and talented photographer! Thanks David, you are the best!

We literally just finished looking at our photos this second and we absolutely love them!!!! You captured our day perfectly and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better photographer. We loved having you at our wedding, you were professional, friendly, knew what you were doing and helped guide us through the photos/day, always making sure we were at ease and felt comfortable. As soon as I found Dearly photography I instantly fell in love with David's work. Every image I looked at was truly beautiful and captured the very essence of the couple. For us one of the most important aspects when planning the wedding was that we wanted to invest in a photographer who would be able to truly capture our wedding day, so that we could look back on the photos and relive that day for years to come. David was very efficient in communicating with us throughout the planning process and as soon as we met him we knew we had found the perfect photographer for us. David is instantly able to put you at ease with his easy going manner and sense of humour. His enthusiasm and passion for what he does truly shines through. On the day David was not only personable, professional, and efficient – but he was also unobtrusive and took a superb series of photos without making us feel uncomfortable or posed. David ensured that he captured every tiny detail of the day – he do not miss a moment and the end result is truly amazing photography that reflects every emotion of the day beautifully. Even from just seeing the sneak peek of our wedding photos we were completely blown away. The quality and variety of the photos he produced are excellent. Looking through them we really felt that he captured the spirit of our day. We were so glad we found David, to be our photographer, he fitted in with the day perfectly and we cannot recommend him highly enough. David photographed our wedding and I can't recommend him highly enough! From our first contact with David, and still now, David has been professional, patient and understanding. We loved David's style of photography, and he captured our day exactly how we wanted...natural photos without having to spend too much time out of our day getting them taken. We are absolutely over the moon with our photos. David went about and beyond for us on the day, even becoming a fan holder in our roasting room while we got ready... and still managed to take great photos. As well as a great photographer, David is a great, down to earth guy, who made us both feel at ease on the day. I feel both lucky and grateful that David captured our wedding day and I'd recommend him over and over again.

Where to begin? Davids work is simply beautiful! David was one of the first suppliers we booked. We knew exactly the type of photographer we were looking for and David ticked all of the boxes. Laid back, Relaxed, Candid and fun. We first 'met' with David over Zoom as it was during Covid, we laughed a lot and we knew that booking David to be there on the day was the perfect choice. His enthusiasm and passion shines through his work. We finally had the opportunity to meet with David during an engagement shoot we had booked - which we highly recommend doing as well. Not only did this give us time to get to know one and other better, we got to understand more of how David works and most of all we got some beautiful photos which were used for our Save the Dates. David was so efficient in communicating with us throughout the planning process. When the big day came, David was once again amazing. He was involved in the fun of the morning, there was no pressure to pose for any photos and he captured it all as it happened. We had a blast during our couples shoot and had the most dreamiest light!! We have just received our Final Gallery and all we can say is WOW! They are perfect!! We have no idea how we are going to choose what to print but are so so glad we have them to treasure forever!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for capturing our day!!
