It's Valentine's weekend. Romance is in the air, and hopefully, a wedding proposal or two is on the horizon. If you need some inspiration to make it a memorable occasion, then you've come to the right place. Beneath The Canopy has organised a beautiful boho campfire wedding proposal complete with a bell tent, dried flowers, and the cutest Cockapoo to inspire couples. Every detail and moment was captured beautifully by, Recommended supplier, Olegs Samsonovs Photography. Tissues at the ready, because this inspiration is like a mini Rom. Com.
Our vision is a celebration of a campfire romance, set in a beautiful orchard, under dramatic winter skies. Magical lighting set the scene for a perfect Valentine’s wedding proposal... Oh, and a puppy. We can't not talk about the puppy!

As lovers of the great outdoors at Beneath the Canopy, we wanted to create alfresco Valentine's romance to chase away those winter blues. Firepits aren't just for summer camping trips. They are perfect to cosy up around, with blankets, warm jumpers and big boots. Our lovely couple Casey and Leighton are getting married in March next year. We loved documenting their love story along with their 15-week old cockapoo puppy Marlowe. The whole vibe of this wedding proposal inspiration was relaxed and romantic. I wanted this to inspire anyone thinking about a Valentine’s Day marriage proposal.
Beneath The Canopy love to create stunning pop-up accommodation, bell tent villages and Honeymoon suites across Sussex, Kent and Surrey for our glamping guests. We regularly work at The Cherry Barn so knew it would be a perfect fit for the brief. Olegs and Rita were my dream photographers for this shoot. They really bring the best of the subject, photographing and editing these beautiful moments perfectly. Jack Redgate of Redgate Production is also a total genius, adding ethereal beauty to the videography and landscapes he captures.
Star and the Rose florist brought all the drama! With a beautiful dried and fresh floral installation around the tent entrance. It was the perfect backdrop for the romantic picnic, framing the proposal beautifully. A grazing board from Gracefully Grazing packed with delicious locally sourced Sussex produce and light and sparkling English rosé from Hoffmann and Rathbone was the perfect celebratory feast after the proposal.
Darwin and Gray produce beautiful hand-painted calligraphy banners. So for this brief, we asked if they would create a bespoke bandana for the couples’ beautiful cockapoo Marlowe. As well as a couple of proposal themed mini banners. Lastly, no proposal would be complete without a stunning ring. London Victorian Ring Company did not disappoint with their scroll-patterned platinum diamond ring. Who could say no!
Whilst the shoot was planned with Valentine’s Day in mind, we wanted to veer slightly away from hearts and roses and add more subtle romantic details. This included the hand-illustrated candles from Heather Evelyn, the cluster of gold and rose-gold balloons from Sweethearts Party Boutique, and the delicate necklace from Claire Hill Designs. The necklace was inscribed with ‘love is love’ in shorthand, so whether you're celebrating valentine's or Galentine's this year the message is clear.

There are so many things to consider when you make your wedding proposal. Timing, do you keep it a secret, and the ring! But, most importantly, make sure it's right for you as a couple, because just like the ring, one size doesn't fit all.
