Romantic Dove Barn Weddings

Erin & Jack were meant to get married in April 2021 but had to postpone due to covid. Since postponing, they had a beautiful baby boy and it made their wedding day all the more special having him there at Dove Barn Weddings. The couple had a celebrant-led ceremony because they wanted everything to be personal and special to them. Erin: My favourite moment of the day was walking down the aisle and seeing Jack holding our baby boy, Teddy, waiting for me. We weren’t sure if Teddy would be happy to be held for that long so seeing them both for the first time that day was the most special moment.

Jack: My favourite moment was the band playing our first dance which was You’re My Best Friend by Queen, the band then went straight into Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen, which got our party started and everyone on the dance floor for the rest of the evening!

Dove Barn Weddings

Erin & Jack wanted a relaxed and chilled vibe at Dove Barn Weddings. They wanted everyone to let loose and make it all feel like a big party, so they had a cocktail hour after dinner! When it came to styling Dove Barn Weddings, they wanted to compliment the venue. The couple chose pastel flowers, lots of drapery, and bud vases for the tablescape with candles. It looks so romantic! Erin & Jack also had one of our fave wedding readings for their ceremony, Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton!

Advice

Erin & Jack are advocates for planning Your Day, Your Way! Erin struggled with this at times as she was focused on making sure everyone was happy. But she realised the day had to be perfect for her and Jack and not anyone else! The couple recommend not being too caught up in planning the day down to precise moments as it might be the case that things don't run to schedule. Just embrace it! Plus, if you have children at your wedding, activity boxes on the table during the meal are a lifesaver!

Dando London Wedding Dress

Erin found her Dando London wedding dress online. She saw it in some photos, searched for stockists, tried it on, and fell in love. Luckily, despite postponing the wedding, she still loved the dress just as much as she did when she first saw it! Some of the couple's favourite photos from the day include them in the sunflower field at Dove Barn Weddings. Jack had to give Erin a piggyback to keep those Jimmy Choos clean! We respect the priorities!

We searched through Instagram for the majority of our suppliers! It is such a great place for inspiration! We used Grace Elizabeth as our photographer. We booked Grace before we had even booked a venue as we knew we needed her to capture our big day and she was amazing! We’ve lost count of the number of people who said how brilliant Grace was throughout the day and how beautiful her photos were.
