Yellow and gold artisan wedding inspiration at Pennard House country manor house in the Somerset, shot entirely on both medium format and 35mm film to ensure a raw, natural look.
ARTISAN WEDDING
"This editorial was an exercise in utter class and sheer fine art style. Shot at a handsome country estate in the gentle Somerset countryside, it demonstrates how to retain a neutral fine art wedding colour palette, yet still incorporate warm tones in your florals and details to spice things up a little. It was shot entirely on film by wedding & fashion photographer Liz Baker, to ensure a raw, natural look. Liz conceived the project and originally gave this editorial the title “Go Gently” after a line in a favourite song. Called Underneath the Stars, the song is a beautiful modern folk song by British folk artist Kate Rusby. Inspired by this title, Liz joined forces with Emma Joy the Wedding Planner to create a collaboration which focused on keeping things simple and serene. Pennard’s quintessential English manor and Emma Joy’s gentle styling brings to mind scenes from a Jane Austen love story. The epitome of dreamy Georgian elegance, Pennard House’s laid-back style has been the backdrop of choice for fashion and interiors editorials over the years, and is available for your exclusive use." - Liz Baker
INSPIRATION & STYLING
"Going gently on the senses with a warm but pared-back palette of yellow, gold and a touch of blush, with the finest of barely-there makeup and tousled hair from Tracy Pallari. Going gently on fashion with an elegant Chantilly lace dress handmade by Naomi Neoh and intricate hand-crafted accessories by Victoria Fergusson. Going gently on nature with seasonal & foraged florals from Grace at Bramble & Wild, and artisan silks hand-dyed in Cornwall with cinnamon and turmeric by Sian of Lancaster & Cornish. Handlettered & watercolour deckle-edged paper goods created by Laura E Patrick, and rolled beeswax candles, finished the look. L.K.Bennett shoes and an Antique Jewellery Company ring ensured British style was over-represented, and Leanne the Baking Chick created two breathtaking, minimalist cakes. We demonstrate here the beauteous possibilities when you invite thoughtful creatives to work with you on your wedding design. Creatives who work from the heart, making with their own hands, working together to produce a truly one-of-a-kind wedding." - Liz Baker
