Lucy & Robert married in late November across two days AND three wedding venues. Firstly, the couple tied the knot at the Winchester Registry Office before they headed to Hotel Du Vin for the wedding breakfast. The next day, they partied at Papillon Southampton for the reception where they danced to their favourite songs by Paolo Nutini and Frank Sinatra played live by their wedding band! The couple found their band through Recommended Supplier, Tailored Entertainment. With only 20 guests at the ceremony, 35 for the dinner and a total of 120 guests the next day for the reception, Lucy & Robert made their day feel personal and special. For the ceremony, Lucy wore a beautiful wedding dress from Recommended Supplier, Made With Love. Complete with a sparkly reception dress, a delicious-looking dessert table, and bejewelled bridal crocs, this real wedding is certainly one to remember! It’s a wedding that proves the best celebrations are the ones that truly feel like you.
Our wedding turned out exactly as we envisioned it, creating an intimate and meaningful experience. For the ceremony, we invited only immediate family, with a select group of family and close friends joining us for the wedding breakfast, making the day feel truly special and personal. The following day, we celebrated with everyone we love at our reception, where we could fully relax, let loose, and dance the night away!
Lucy & Robert
Lucy & Robert wanted their wedding day to feel intimate and personal, sharing it only with their closest loved ones. It was a rare moment for the couple to embrace being the centre of attention. The day after the wedding ceremony, Lucy & Robert hosted a more lively reception, bringing together friends and family from both sides for a big celebration filled with live music, delicious food, and memories they’ll always cherish.
Although easier said than done, Lucy & Robert's advice for any couples planning their wedding is to enjoy the process but don’t get too caught up in it! Create a day (or two in their case) that is truly personal to you without pleasing everyone or getting caught up in trends. The couple’s favourite moment was just after their wedding photos when they had a moment alone to reflect on the fact they were now husband and wife!
Our photographer, Meg, was really amazing! We really wanted to achieve more natural candid photos for our wedding and Meg nailed it! She made us feel so at ease for two people who are usually more camera shy.
