Chloe & Nathan's wedding brought an explosion of pink to Hackney as they celebrated their wedding day in East London surrounded by their nearest and dearest. It was a fairly intimate day of 65 guests and each and every one of them was wowed by Chloe’s three different wedding dresses - one for the ceremony, one for the wedding breakfast, and one for the reception! The aim for the couple was to make every second of the day joyful and fun, with plenty of cocktails (as well as tequila water pistols) and people's favourite types of foods ranging from a formal three-course sit-down meal to Domino’s at midnight. Plus, the bride herself is the mastermind behind Recommended Florist, Honey Bunch, and finally got to create the flowers for her own special day! Now, this is our ideal wedding…
Our favourite moment of the day would have to be the speeches. We had speeches from the groom, the father of the bride, the 2 best men, and one of our bridesmaids. They were in equal parts hilarious and heartfelt.
Chloe & Nathan
Chloe & Nathan’s wedding day in Hackney was a party vibe with tequila-filled water pistols and shots of fireball. The food varied from Crosstown doughnuts to an exquisite three-course meal, to Domino’s for the 80 evening guests. The couple chose to have a huge wedding party aka the party starters with a total of 14 of Chloe & Nathan’s fave people. Filled with explosions of colour, the vibe was bright, bold and brave. Pink is literally everywhere you look, from the flowers and the bridesmaid dresses/suits to the pic’n'mix dessert table. Chloe & Nathan embraced a retro style too with disco balls, fabric banners, and heart-shaped name tags. When planning their wedding day, Chloe & Nathan took the stance of creating the ultimate party that built a party day that they would also want to attend.
Chloe (the bride) is also a florist by day and is the gorgeous face behind Recommended Supplier, Honey Bunch. We can totally say that the flowers added so much heart and soul to the wedding. Chloe says these are her favourite flowers she’s ever put together and we couldn’t agree more. The blooms were bright, colourful and made with love. Chloe & Nathan also wanted to mention their photographers, This Modern Revelry, who made the day so much better. Chloe says, “They bought the party, they encouraged the guests and we didn't want them to leave at the end! They captured our day by film and photos in ways we couldn't have imagined.” Chloe not only dressed the venue in her beautiful flowers but she dressed herself in three fabulous wedding dresses from Taller Marmo, Rixo, and Galvan.
Our advice to couples is that there are no rules with weddings! If you want takeaway for dinner - have it! If you don't want to do a first dance - don't! If you can’t decide which dress to wear - wear three!
