What made Becky & Frankie’s day so special was the genuine feeling of love and support from all their guests. The couple tied the knot at the wonderfully rustic and charming Recommended Venue, Quantock Lakes. Becky & Frankie approached their day with a sense of calm and embraced spontaneity to let random moments unfold. We LOVE this attitude! After all their planning, all Becky & Frankie could do was let their day happen thinking, what’s the worst that could happen? It’s no easy thing to do when you’ve worked so hard on something for so long, but when you have such incredible suppliers as this couple did, it’s easy to trust the experts.
We hit the jackpot with our photographers, Simon and Kiana. Their creativity and wealth of experience helped steer the day, they were just fantastic. Researching your suppliers is so important! We couldn’t have been happier with everything they did for us. They are truly amazing!
Becky & Frankie
Becky & Frankie aimed for the vibe of their day to be fun, relaxed and unpretentious. Stylistically, Becky & Frankie were always drawn to the rustic barn countryside style, with an open space to mingle, and most importantly, party! Quantock Lakes was the perfect place for that. The Somerset venue has a late license until 1 am, so you don’t have to worry about stopping or winding down the party before it’s even got going! To bring their dream day to life, Becky spent a lot of time deep-diving into social media, making mood boards and discussing with various friends and family who recently married.
When asked about their favourite moments from their wedding day, Becky & Frankie said, “It’s really hard to narrow down a single favourite moment, because as cliche as it sounds, it genuinely was the best day. The main thing for us was the coming together of everyone we love!” But some other highlights include Frankie's sister’s reading making everyone cry, an epic prosecco spraying (we were drenched, our wedding party went for it!), a carve-your-own lunch (which turned out to be a great ice breaker), and surprising everyone with the first dance that Becky & Frankie had rehearsed together. What a day!
For the bridal party, choose the people who will be there for you on the day, who will support you through the highs and the lows and go with any of your weird and wonderful ideas, no matter how embarrassing. Secondly, research your vendors they will help run your day for you, and won’t have to worry about a thing. At the end of the day, some things will go wrong - embrace it! Some things are out of your control and trust us, it will be a funny story one day. Remember why you are getting married, it's about you and your partner! Don't get caught up on your great auntie’s sister's opinions.
