If you’ve never thought about getting married on a farm, this rustic wedding with a disco twist at South Farm in Royston might change your mind. Amy & Tom’s wedding had traditional styling to emphasise the rustic charm of the venue with a bright sunset-inspired purple and orange colour palette, sequin and disco balls! The couple chose Recommended Supplier, Prezola, for their wedding gift list which included a honeymoon fund, experience days and cash contributions. Amy also wore stylish bridal shoes from Recommended Supplier, Rainbow Club! Amy & Tom fed piglets after their ceremony and ended the day by watching the Northern Lights from the sheep field! We know you want to see this one…
All of the styling, designing and planning was completed by me (the bride) but I could not have done it without the help of all the suppliers involved! A special shout-out to Sam at Heritage Brides for being the most amazing wedding dress shop ever! This place is just so special! Another shout-out to Sam at Violets & Velvets for her incredible flower arrangements and extraordinary attention to detail. We would like to thank Danny for his stunning photos and for making us all feel so comfortable, we laughed all day and he has captured every moment of this. Last but not least, South Farm! This venue is just absolutely out of this WORLD! We cannot sing their praises enough and would like to say the biggest thank you for making our wedding day dreams come true!

Amy & Tom added a unique twist to their traditional English farm wedding at South Farm in Royston by incorporating a vibrant mix of mismatched colours, sequins, and disco balls! The couple didn’t take away from the natural charm and history of the rustic venue by adding a more modern twist. Amy & Tom described their wedding theme as bright and bold with a disco twist! Amy incorporated the disco balls into table centrepieces filled with stunning floral arrangements to re-create the traditional wedding decor. These peach and purple tones were also included in the mismatched bridesmaid dresses and all wedding stationery.
When we asked Amy & Tom what their favourite part of the wedding day was, they found it hard to pick just one moment but saying their vows, listening to the funny but emotional speeches and readings (including one of our faves, Falling In Love Is Like Owning A Dog), feeding the pigs and lots of bubble-filled photo bomb moments were all up there! That being said, one of the most spectacular moments was experiencing the Northern Lights over the farm in the evening whilst standing in the sheep field with their guests! What a way to finish the day! Thankfully, the couple could experience all these moments due to their incredible suppliers.
Our advice for couples would be to get a good wedding notebook/planner and keep a folder for all invoices! Amy planned the whole wedding and found this was the best way to stay organised and keep on top of appointments and payments.

We love how Amy & Tom added sunset tones and disco balls to make their rustic wedding venue match the vibrant and playful vibe they wanted. The couple chose a deep purple and a peachy tone, which is the Pantone 2024 colour of the year - Peach Fuzz!
