Location
Victoria The Bride: We had a very clear idea of what kind of wedding we wanted. We got married in Ibiza because I'm from there and I always wanted to celebrate the type of wedding we did.
Venue
It was a weekend wedding, although many friends visited us since Wednesday to enjoy the weather we were having. On friday we made a welcome party to all the newly arrived. It took place in "
Cala Escondida" in Compte beach, an incredible place with the best sunsets you can have in all the island.Tess, the owner, was our friend, so she made us feel like home and show us the magic the people is looking for when they arrive to the island.
Fashion & Beauty
The wedding day Paula from "Va de Pelo" did my hair and Vanessa my make up. The dress and veil were from
YolanCris and the headpiece was the same my mother wore during her wedding day 30 years before.
The groom and the best man wore a tailored suit by
Corvus in Barcelona.
Regarding jewels I only wore some diamond and sapphire earrings from my mother, the engagement ring from Eric and the typical Ibizan golden ring that my grandmother wore.
The wedding rings were done by
Joya Blanca in Barcelona, a great friend of mine.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place in Puig de Missa in Santa Eularia, a village church covered with white sandstone.
Flowers
It was decorated with flowers by
Artnatur Ibiza, her manager is Beatriz and she was great. She helped creating my bouquet, assisted by my mother along with my best friends, that elaborated it as a surprise for me. I first saw it when the best man brought it with him when he came to read a verse before the ceremony!
Special Moments
One of the most special moments for me was the entrance to the church. I prepared a surprise song for Eric, his favourite song "Somewhere over the rainbow" ,played life on ukelele by Juan Pablo and singed by the angelical voice of Rocio Herranz. We all felt how time stopped at that moment. It was really special. After the ceremony, we prepared some drinks for the guests while they saw a typical traditional Ibizan dance by La Colla d'Eivissa.
Catering
The dinner was done in the restaurant
La Escollera. It is located in the natural park Ses Salines right in the beach d'Es Cavallet. They have an amazing menu and the staff is fantastic. Diana and his team were very patient with us and, in the end, all the guests were super satisfied.
Decor
The tables were decorated with candles and olive tree branches. The menu ilustrations were made by Eric's friend, Francesc d'Assis. Who personalized the caligraphy and the drawings of the menu we had selected. The result was spectacular. During the apperitif we heard a concert by Rafa Peletey, a gift from my brother and her wife. The party
DJ was Willy Will Fly, a great artist along with
Manuel Moore and Ruben Moran, that left us speechless. We didn't stop dancing all night long.
Photographer & Videographer
The chosen photographs were
Sara Frost with
Israel del Lago, and the videographer was Marina from
AMS Love in Love. We liked them from the beginning because they were different from everything we had seen before. They made us feel very comfortable during the shootings and it was all reflected in the final pictures that look brilliant.
Planning
The coordination was done by Rafa Corrales of
Make My Day. His good vibes and patience were crucial during all the event.
