Moody, textured, interesting venue? Orange velvet? Decadent bouquet? You know we were in from the moment we laid eyes on this sultry shoot by Gail Secker Photography. The collaboration of a few talented suppliers (all listed at the bottom of this article) has created a beautifully edgy but haunting magic that could only be a Victoria Baths wedding.
When designing this bouquet for this incredible shoot I just knew it has to be full of rich tones, dramatic shape and filled with lots of gorgeous depth and texture.Rachel from La Beau Fleurs Floral Design
The deep oranges of Jade's velvet shoes match Marc's velvet jacket adding a unique and edgy touch to their outfits. It works perfectly with the striking green used in the stationery by Rock Paper Nib and throughout the venue.
The sugarcraft on top of this cake is just spectacular. The delicate succulent detailing brings a touch of green to the otherwise minimalist two-tier cake by Pink Cocoa.
With an abundance of nooks and crannies, the peeling wallpaper, bare plaster, fabulous ironwork, and beautiful tiles, this venue is everything as far Iʼm concerned! A perfect backdrop for my style of photography. This shoot was all about the sultry, the alternative, the unusual. Marc and Jade were the perfect couple to fulfil this brief, with their brooding, raw emotion and sultry styling. The highlight for me was being allowed to shoot in the not-so-often-seen boiler room with its huge copper tanks and industrial pipes - a photographer's dream!Gail Secker Photography
I don't know if you're now sold on a Victoria Baths wedding, but I am! Jade's hair and makeup by Andrea was vintage glamour at its best. The London Victorian Ring Company is responsible for all of that spectacular jewellery you see. And if you thought that Jade's gown was a showstopper you'd be right. It also happens to be from ASOS. And if you are in the mood for some more edgy inspo then have a look at this Glasgow shoot.
