Planning their wedding in just eleven weeks, Anna & Colin knew they wanted a weekend wedding and a venue to accommodate this factor. Their day was all about being surrounded by their family and friends alongside traditional elements, whilst still incorporating a relaxed feel. They utilised Rock My Wedding’s Recommended Suppliers (yay), where they found Anna’s dress supplier and photographer, Tom Wyatt Co. We absolutely love the bright florals and ancient Scottish tradition, ‘Quaich’; a two-handled loving cup that seals the bond of two people and marks the blending of two families.

We wanted the day to be fun! We listen to a lot of funk and soul, so picking a band was easy. From there we just applied that idea to the rest of the style. We decided less was more. But what we did have needed to pop (which Jess at Sprig & Thistle totally delivered on).

Anna & Colin utilised the Rock My Wedding Recommended Suppliers. This allowed them to find Anna’s beautiful wedding dress from Bibiluxe Studio, alongside Tom Wyatt Co. The directory proved to be a huge help as they didn’t have a long period of time to do their own research! Having originally contacted two or three Recommended photographers who weren’t available, they were able to recommend Tom. Which is the perfect example of the incredible community we have created through Rock My Wedding.
FAVOURITE MOMENT
Anna & Colin managed to get a sunny 5-mile run in before having breakfast with their friends and family, which settled their nerves perfectly! Their ceremony was incredibly special, and they wrote their own vows, which made it all the more personal to them. Their day ended with an incredibly full dance floor. Colin showing their 6-year-old cousin how to ceilidh was a particular highlight (especially since they didn't plan to have a ceilidh in the first place!)
