The most gorgeous Topshop bridesmaid dresses, a marquee, grazing table and a silent disco… Of course we’re not jealous we weren’t there - not one bit! Lindsey & Jordan wanted a wedding that wasn’t too traditional in style, and enlisted the help of their many talented friends to help. Being a wedding coordinator herself, Lindsey planned everything exactly as she would run it, but needed someone to run the day! Thankfully, a family friend took the reins. Oh, and do not forget to check out the glorious bridal bouquet!
We are lucky enough to have lots of talented friends and family who we really wanted to be involved in our day. So that made our choices for things like florists, stationery and music really easy.Lindsey & Jordan
I follow lots of wedding planners on Instagram, such as Sinclair & Moore. I love everything that they do. Particularly their mix of light coloured linens and flowers, with some hints of darker colours so we tried to capture that in our day too. We also wanted a nod to Montgenèvre, France. Jordan lived there for a season and I learned to ski! So our table names were all named after the ski lifts there.
My advice would be not to stress about the things that you feel that you 'should' have, just because they are traditional. It is your day and you need to be 100% comfortable with all of your choices. Especially when money is involved! If you don't fancy having a first dance or a cake cutting, don't do it just because someone else thinks you should. Your day needs to be authentic to you both. And the chances are, your guests won't even notice the traditions you might choose to skip!
I think my favourite part of the day would be our silent disco. We have some brilliantly talented friends who made our playlists and completely tailored them to suit everyones tastes. We didn't want to leave at the end of the night! Jordan loved the Conga that his Brother started around the lake. Charging around to Lionel Richie, so many of our guests said that this was their favourite part too.Lindsey & Jordan
