Any wedding that has an ethereal 3d applique wedding dress, kilts a-plenty, an incredible miniature schnauzer pup called Bingley and an abundance of perfect pastels is a winner in our eyes. Recommended supplier Chic Photo by Jacqui captured the magical, love-filled energy perfectly. Each and every photo speaks a thousand wonderful words. The groomsmen looked incredibly dashing in their kilts and suits - cohesive, slick and all-around fabulous. That is all thanks to Recommended supplier MacGregor and Macduff.
The vibe of our day was a rustic fairytale. Floaty fabric, a romantic setting, pastel colours... Lots of flowers, candles and exposed wood. Stone barn and roundhouse granary with a timber roof that wasn’t too big for the number of guests. Decorated with festoon lights that we’ve taken home to use in the garden.

A handfasting ceremony is a beautiful and ancient tradition that symbolises the joining of two individuals. Derived from Celtic origins, this ritual involves the binding of the couple's hands together. Typically using ribbons or cords, this signifies their union. The cords are delicately wrapped around their clasped hands, forming an intricate pattern that represents the intertwining of their lives. Susan & Ryan went the extra mile, and used a tartan handfasting ribbon - we're obsessed. The ceremony often includes heartfelt vows exchanged between the couple, expressing their promises and intentions. Handfasting is a deeply personal and meaningful ritual, fostering a sense of unity.
We got married under a wooden moon gate. It was built by our friends, and was decorated with gorgeous seasonal flowers and foliage. Now it lives in our garden as a reminder of our magical day. The wedding breakfast was a bespoke 5-course meal inspired by nature: earth, land, sea, sky, and forest. Our signage was painted by the bride, acrylic on canvas, and the stationery was handcrafted.
