This inspiration shoot is everything you need to see on a grey September day. Harking back to the endless summer days and frolicking in fields of lavender (we all did that right?) with the prettiest dresses from two of our favourites. Claire and I have been dreaming of shooting amongst the lavender for a while and we wanted to capture a relaxed vibe with lots of movement on the day. Mayfield lavender field was the perfect location as, despite being around an hour from London, it feels like you're in the south of France! Sage green charger plates, copper cutlery and gold edged glasses added a decadent feel to the tablescape with florals by Blue Sky Flowers, place cards by Oh Wonder Calligraphy and macarons by MonAnnie Cakes. Undone, tousled hair and fresh, glowing make up by Pipa at Be You Weddings complemented the effortlessly elegant Halfpenny London gowns and twobirds dresses. We couldn't resist the new Bluebell dress by Halfpenny London with lots of little birds embroidered on it and sage is now one of twobirds' most popular colours so we wanted to showcase this beautiful colour against the lavender backdrop.
