When a satin wrap wedding dress meets someone as beautiful as bride Izzie, we can’t help but sit and stare in awe. Especially when it's from Recommended Supplier, Constellation Ame. We also absolutely adore the bride's recycled white gold wishbone ring, from Recommended Supplier, Nikki Stark Jewellery (what great taste!) Seriously, we can't help but love a London wedding complete with boho styling (and a Prezola Gift List). Finding themselves drawn to Clapton Country Club, this beautiful couple wanted to support local businesses and be as sustainable as possible. They kept things simple and fuss-free, ensuring everyone around them had a chilled, happy day. Izzie's & Jonny's families made the day what it was; from Izzie's aunt designing the wedding cake, to Jonny's brother singing in the evening! And seriously… how gorgeous does it all look!? Shoutout to Recommended Supplier, Mark Horton Photos, for the incredible captures!
We wanted to get married close to where we live in East London. Jonny found Clapton Country Club as he goes to Blok gym which is next door to CCC. We went for Sunday roast there and the food was amazing!
Izzie & Jonny
On the day we used Clapton Country Club's 'Department of Life' for a Christian ceremony. After, we moved across to CCC's main room for drinks and to mingle and chat. Our main priority for the reception was good food, drinks and music! Izzie, Izzie's parents, Jonny's Mum, Jonny and Will gave speeches. We had Mediterranean style food which was amazing, followed by sparklers and dancing. Thom was amazing and got everyone up dancing. Jonny's brother and our friend also sang which was really special.
The speeches were super emotional and we were both so proud of how our parents and each other did! There were some key people missing and Jonny got everyone to do a three-finger toast (see photos!) in honour of his stepdad who took his life a couple of years ago. He had an injured little finger so wouldn't have been able to toast with all four fingers. Everyone really pulled it out of the bag, and some of my favourite photos of our guests during the speeches. There's so much you don't get to see so good photos are important!
Just do what you want! Both of our parents were really chill with the planning and let us get on with it, but even so, you feel pressure to do things a certain way. We stuck to our guns on what we wanted, and we're so glad we did because looking back the day really felt like 'us'. Lots of people said that to us as well, which was really nice to hear.
