Somebody pass the tissues because it's about to get emotional at this same sex wedding. Firstly, Kristina and Kindell are two of the most gorgeous brides full of love and joy who look absolutely incredible in an off the shoulder jumpsuit and strapless wedding dress. After surprise vintage camera gifts and heartfelt first looks, they surrounded themselves with their closest family and friends for an elegant wedding at a marina on Rhode Island. The ceremony and reception is decorated with colourful peach and coral flowers and gold details. Including a jawdropping flower arch framing their nuptials. Ouff!

Kindell lost her dad about 10 years ago, so it was important he was remembered and represented on our wedding day. Kindell's two sisters walked her down the aisle and her auntie Dawn Cover officiated our ceremony. We wrote our own vows and did a special handshake after we exchanged a kiss and were announced, wife and wife. Kindell and I also chose to have one best person each to make sure everyone was safe during the global pandemic.

FIRST LOOK

Our first look was everything and took our breaths away. It was intimate, personal, and we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

FACE MASKS

Kindell and I wanted to ensure that our guests were safe at our same sex wedding during this global pandemic. So, we made special face masks that had our names on them. We used the gorgeous backdrop of Newport to enhance our simply beautiful floral arrangements.

Kristina and Kindell chose local businesses when planning their same sex wedding. Almost all the businesses were managed by women or were Black owned.

Hire a wedding planner! This is as great an investment as your photographer! Even when you think you have everything under control, there are things you may have never even thought of! Add colour and texture to your décor, invest in a photographer whose style you like. And have an earlier ceremony (ours was at 1:00 PM) so we had the rest of the day to celebrate! It’s your day! Don’t follow traditional rules. Make your own new traditions with the person you are committing your journey to!
