When you're a wedding planner and surrounded by incredible inspiration every day how do you decide what you want for your own wedding? Well, this bride absolutely killed it! Relocating their St Lucia wedding to Saltmarshe Hall, every detail was carefully considered to bring a touch of tropical luxe to Yorkshire. The bride looked beautiful wearing a bespoke wedding dress and an embroidered veil. Inspired by the work of her colleagues in the industry and shoots during lockdown, this couple created an intimate and elegant day filled with neutral tones, golds with hints of blue.... not forgetting the coconuts!
Like millions of others, our destination wedding had to be cancelled but we knew our love just could not wait. For the majority of our time planning, we did not know who would be able to attend, where it might be or when it would take place but against all the odds we remained positive and focused on the end goal. We brought St Lucia to Saltmarshe Hall, with palm leaves, coconut shells, tropical-inspired table names, and our nearest and dearest, our day was paradise, literally.

Being in the industry gave me a head start on picking who I wanted to work with to create our perfect day. However, I fell in love with a styled shoot that my florist, cake, stylist and stationery put together in the summer and I knew I wanted them to recreate it for me. I used Instagram to find suppliers within the Yorkshire area to work with. I fell in love with Rebeccas photography the moment i saw it. I'll be honest, we had someone else booked to be begin with, but something wasn't quite right and when you know, you know! All of my suppliers were amazing

We wanted to bring St Lucia to Saltmarshe Hall, remaining luxurious and romantic. During the pandemic so many shoots took place, but as a bit of reassurance for suppliers, they are worth it! Even though I am surrounded by creatives, I chose a styled shoot to recreate on my wedding day. The tropics and the St Lucia vibe were everything I was looking for. I'm so pleased we went with the style and the suppliers we did, they helped bring my vision to life. The Caribbean blue was our colour scheme mixed with neutral creams and coconuts as well as gold.
