There's just no denying that pink is the prettiest of colours. It's romantic, feminine and it's various shades look beautiful when combined, making it the perfect shade for a wedding day. Whether it's the flowers, the decor or the fashion, pink is a colour that looks beautiful and suits everyone.
Pink also looks lovely when combined with jewellery, like the stunning pieces from
De Beers. The soft shade works seamlessly with metallics and seems to make diamonds shine even brighter. Today we've sourced some of our favourite images to show you just how pretty pink can look. Let's take a look.

The Jewellery
I must admit, it's very difficult to choose a favourite collection from
De Beers, but the
Enchanted Lotus collection is just so simple in it's beauty that it's hard not to fall for it. I think this collection lends itself to working well with pink because the diamonds echo the shape of a flower, and some of my favourite blooms appear naturally in pink. It's delicate, striking and one of those unusual pieces that would always be a talking point.
Coming in a close second is the
De Beers Aura collection which I find very pleasing as it uses a perfect circle - a halo surrounding a single
De Beers selected diamond, like petals surrounding the centre of a flower. Again this is a collection that works beautifully with flowers.
The Flowers & Decor
Talking of flowers, if you opt for a pink colour scheme, then the world is your oyster when it comes to blooms. My favourite look is to combine several shades of pink, creating a richer and deeper palette. If you're having a summer wedding, then you're in luck as peonies, roses, and ranunculus as seen in our moodboard above are all in season and all come in a stunning array of pinks. When your flowers are so beautiful, you don't need anything else to make a room look incredible - we love a selection of simple glass vases so that the flowers can really steal the show.
The Fashion
Pink is a beautiful shade to combine with creamy whites and ivory, as well as darker shades like navy and grey for the boys, so why not opt for a blush dress? We love that this trend has really taken off, and most of the Bridal designers are now offering coloured gowns in their collections. The Fleur dress by
Naomi Neoh is stunning and the one in the moodboard above is by
Needle & Thread. Why not dress you maids in white and yourself in pink? There are so many gorgeous gowns out there you don't need to worry about not looking like the Bride.
And if you don't want to dress head to toes in pink,
Christian Louboutin pink shoes could be a very good alternative ;)
