This beautiful Pagan wedding not only provides all those ethereal Autumnal vibes but it is also sustainable! With food and drink being 100% plant-based and organic, local suppliers, dried florals, and charity donations! Emma & Jez opted for a handfasting ceremony, complete with traditional Celtic music and personal readings. We absolutely adore the whimsical vibes throughout this glorious day, with burgundy bridesmaid dresses and Recommended Suppliers Capture Weddings and Louise May Photography on hand to capture all the beauty throughout! Decor & hire was also provided by Recommended Suppliers Keeping It Vintage and Virginia's Vintage Hire - the perfect combination. Oh, and did we mention the Cafe Patrón shots for breakfast? Bottoms up!
We wanted to focus on using suppliers as local as possible for sustainable reasons. We also looked to support our friends and family/small businesses. Our venue we found by pure chance online and immediately knew it was the one. But generally, everything was a mix of recommendations, Rock My Wedding, and lots of research!
Emma & Jez
Jez & Emma’s Pagan wedding ceremony was held outdoors at the beautiful Hayne Devon. The ceremony involved the four elements; earth, wind, fire and water. They were blessed with incredible weather and the grounds of the venue made it extra special; enchanting, wild and bewitching. They felt an extreme amount of love from each and every detail. Guests have since said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever experienced!
Incorporating aspects of sustainability throughout your wedding day isn’t as hard as it may seem! Emma & Jez had completely organic and plant-based food and drinks alongside ethically sourced flowers and a vintage dress for Emma. Jez wore a 70s cut dark green olive velvet suit which we are slightly obsessing over. With hanging terracotta pots, dried corn and grasses, we love all the rustic vibes throughout this Autumnal day!
As difficult as it may seem, try not to overthink. Keep it simple and pre-plan as much as possible to alleviate any stressful situations. Getting married is fun! We decided to cut back on lots of things due to personal and financial reasons, and we are so glad we did. We simplified our whole day and realised the things we cut back on just weren't needed after all. It's really about what kind of day YOU want to celebrate your union- it’s not about pleasing others!
