Nika & Davorin

The location of this afternoons destination wedding is like something out of a fairytale. Secretly hiding behind gorgeous organza curtains with pretty eucalyptus tie backs is an absolutely breathtaking old ruin of a monastery. Wonderfully intimate, incredibly romantic and simply charming to boot. The atmosphere must have been spine tingling whilst the couple were saying their vows. Beautifully decorated by their wedding planners Luka and Ben I might add, with the sweetest aisle & altar decor. Urška & Domen Photography took full advantage of the unique venue and surrounding picturesque setting and took some stunning portraits of the couple before moving on to their wonderful see through tent reception. Luka and Ben worked their magic again, adding fairy lights, blush blooms and elegant white candelabras, resulting in an equally dreamy reception. Pinning fingers at the ready, you're going to need them.

The Wedding

Nika the Bride: When the right man asked me the right question, I knew an adventure was going to happen. We were looking for the right place for quite a long time and when we first visited Žiče Charterhouse we both felt this is the perfect place for our wedding. We loved every part of it! A wonderful nature in the middle of magical forest, hidden from the crowd and with powerful history.

Planners

We meet Luka and Ben, our wedding planners, and we knew they will be the right creators of our special day. We decided for a vintage wedding with light colours of purple, green and pink. I know, that is very cliche, but fairytales are always cliche. We both loved all the beautiful details of our wedding.

Photographer

We decided about our wedding photographer really quick - Luka and Ben recommended Urška and Domen and we chose them after the first meeting. We just had a great feeling and they were really good. We love our photos! We did not have a videographer and that is the only thing we would change.

Details & Decor

The bouquets and all the details were made by Luka, even the naked cake, which was delicious, was done by Luka. Especially the beautiful dessert table with all the homemade sweets. The cake pops were made by Luka, others by us or our friends.

Party

The party after ceremony was in a beautiful see through tent just outside the oldest restaurant in Slovenia, Gastuž, just a few steps away from the magical Chaterhouse where we said I do. We loved our special day so much, we would do it again and again.
