What Made Out Day Unique
After having to postpone our wedding from this June to Spring 2021, we decided to still have a small civil ceremony with just 10 guests. The day was perfect, and we are so glad that we decided to go ahead with our ‘micro wedding’. It is just so lovely to be able to call ourselves husband and wife, after such an uncertain time for everyone. Micklefield Hall and our suppliers were absolutely amazing too – we’ve been incredibly lucky!Emma & James
Inspiration & Styling
The vibe was extremely relaxed – which was just what we wanted! As you can imagine it was a little bit challenging planning this type of a wedding given the circumstances, but it all worked out perfectly in the end. We hadn't planned to have a first dance but it ended up being one of our favourite moments. The speeches were also very special too.Emma & James
Advice
It is understandable that a micro wedding may not be for everyone, but we would absolutely encourage people to consider it. The best part was seeing how happy our guests were on the day – everyone was just so thrilled to be there! And it is nice to know we still have a party to look forward to next year with our guests who couldn’t be there. The best advice would be to keep calm! You will find that your venue and suppliers just want to help make the day as special as possible for you both and will work with you to achieve that.Emma & James
