This industrial evening wedding took place at The Box House in Brooklyn, which provided a movie-worthy backdrop of the New York City skyline. The bride wore a stunning Marchesa dress, which totally fit the vibe of a winter wedding, (and was also a sample dress at 60% off - yes. Please.) Connor & Melissa took to the streets for their pre-wedding pics and looked effortlessly cool whilst strolling along the pavements of Brooklyn. Inside the venue their style inspiration was in-keeping with the winter theme, using baubles as place name cards, and filling the tables with plenty of greenery. The day ended on the dance floor, with Connor & Melissa surrounded by their incredible friends & family. Oh, the ceremony also included their dog Ellie… seriously, can it get much better? Petition to have dogs at every single wedding, please!
What Made Our Day Unique
Our day couldn't have gotten any more special. We woke up to heavy clouds with some light rain, eventually turning into a clear afternoon for the perfect lighting for our wedding pictures. When it was time to walk down the aisle, the backdrop of our wedding was the New York City skyline so it made it extremely special the weather took a turn for us so everyone could enjoy the view. We also had our dog Ellie run down the aisle and stand by our side as we got married. She even had something to say during the ceremony!

Marchesa
Wedding dresses can be a little pricey (especially designer), but they don’t always have to break the bank. Laura found her perfect Marchesa dress at the Gabriella Bridal Boutique in NYC. She initially had no plans to purchase, as it was a sample dress and the style was no longer available, but as soon as that zip went up, she was sold! Samples dresses can be the perfect option if you’re looking for a designer gown (with a smaller price tag), just don’t forget to ask the shop if they are willing to sell, and bear in mind the money you saved may need to go on alterations!
Inspiration & Styling
Having a winter wedding wasn't always what we both had pictured. We knew we loved this venue so we were willing to sacrifice the warm wedding weather we had always imagined! A glassed-in the rooftop with the New York City skyline as the backdrop is pretty beautiful so we kept the actual decorations/style of the wedding pretty simple. The venue itself is very Brooklyn industrial, so we stuck with those vibes and added a winter theme to it using ornaments as escort cards, with tons of greenery on each table.
