Maison Des Rêves {Lihi Hod Bridal}

There's nothing I love more than a beautifully shot bridal campaign, so when I spotted these images from Lihi Hood in the feed of top photographer, Thierry Joubert, I just knew I had to share. Thierry has such an evocative style and I love how he uses dark and light. We've featured some stunning weddings from him over the years (like Larrisa & Oliver and Nina & Eric). Lihi Hod is an Israeli designer who trained in Paris at Dior, alongside fashion designer John Galliano. Her fashion kudos is undeniable and even with just a glance at her stunning gowns you can see that. As you'd expect from the people involved, this shoot is fashion editorial worthy and it makes me very excited for the direction Bridalwear is going in. It's no longer just enough to shoot your dresses against a grey screen with a bride holding a bouquet. We live in a world where every image needs to tell a story, and these most definitely do that...

Lihi Hod Team: Inspired by Parisian haute couture and its inimitable chic, Hod's new Maison des Rêves collection embodies precision, un-compromised quality and luxury. The collection features dreamy, timeless materials and designs, offering a fascinating combination of French style and effortless beauty. To emphasise the collection's theme, The House of Dreams, the catalogue was shot at Israel's leading College of Design, Shenkar, symbolising the primary creation process and a house of dreams for many young students (and Hod herself as a young student), who aspire to leave their own mark. Hod puts the dress at the centre of creation. As in all her creations, she combines different materials, fabrics and lace, going down to the finest details and textures. Gowns are made with delicate, sheer and three-dimensional lace, emphasising Hod's meticulous craftsmanship. Hod's new collection provides a timeless, classic interpretation of beauty. Retuning to primeval, basic design, she unravels the source of beauty and creates the perfect solution for the bride who wants to look classic, yet absolutely breathtaking on her special day. The models were shot here during NYBW in October 2016 while we debuted the collection for the first time.
