We at Rock My Wedding love a good combination. Butter and popcorn, chocolate and peanut butter, burger and chips... But it's not just food we love. Although that does make up for a lot of my personal interests... it's aesthetic combinations, too. Like this rustic luxe editorial shoot at Lodge Farm. Combining relaxed, rustic elements with soft linens, gold cutlery and rich florals is truly a feast for the eyes. And having a backdrop in the form of beautiful Lodge Farm was the cherry on top of this sumptuous cake. Wedding venues are a brilliant way to tie together a theme - and that is exhibited here perfectly. Every photo is packed with opulence, warmth, and love. Who doesn't want that?
Lodge Farm is a beautiful new wedding barn hideaway. Overlooking the White Horse of Kilburn, nestled in the rolling North Yorkshire countryside. Based on a family-run farm, Jen and Rob are the third generation running it. But they were the first to get married at the barn! It's been carefully restored using local natural materials that really showcase its original features. Two ceremony and reception barns and an outdoor courtyard provide a versatile relaxed space for wedding parties. Alternatively, the site is a short walk from its neighbouring church. Via a purpose-built path through woodland, with views over the valley, it's a very scenic route.

We featured a brand new British bridal designer, Nori Ivy, and their debut collection HER. Designed and handmade exclusively in the UK, this shoot samples just three of the thirteen gowns available in the collection. They all feature rich textures, exquisite fabrics and intricate detailing. Totally customisable, they empower all women from sizes 0-30 to feel their absolute best. Natural make-up in shades of soft peach and blush to complement the hues of the florals and fabric, with hair styled in elegant, relaxed waves and later reworked into a sleek bun, reflect the trend for a smooth, polished, though not overworked, look.

We wanted to showcase the versatility of the venue. We paired a relaxed rustic setting with contemporary modern luxe bridal and styling. Taking inspiration from the warm tones of the barn, a colour palette of toffee, nudes and blush, and featuring rich florals paired with soft linens, gold cutlery, and charger plates. The minimalist typography place settings and menu cards offset this for a contemporary edge. We opted for a flower wall installation to frame the ceremony space, to create something organic that felt a part of this historic building, with bracken foraged from nearby hedgerows, alongside warm luxe blooms.

To take and slightly alter the words of Billy Idol, it's a nice day for a rustic luxe wedding. It's always a nice day for a rustic luxe wedding. Those Nori Ivy wedding dresses... Simply breathtaking. But it wasn't just the bride who looked fabulous. The groom's suit and accessories were great, too. If you're in the market for some groom-style inspiration, then our article on 44 grooms accessories will be helpful. The stylish, minimalistic wedding signage was also an absolute treat. Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes to create all of that beauty? Well, our "A Day In The Life" series with Recommended supplier Bewilderly will prove useful.
