Kate - My favourite moment was when we were signing the register together. We were so giddy with happiness and that 'oh-my-god-we-did-it!' feeling. Seeing everything come together and knowing we'd just become Mr and Mrs was such a special moment.
Ed – My favourite part was walking into the wedding breakfast together. It was so much fun – everyone was cheering – and it was great seeing all of our friends and family gathered together.
Kate & Ed
The overall look and feel of Kate & Ed’s wedding was rustic, romantic, and elegant. The Barn at Alswick was the perfect rustic barn wedding venue to complement the couple’s styling with rich and warm colours, twinkling fairy lights and soft candlelight. Kate & Ed wanted to balance cosy autumnal vibes with a more classic and traditional dress code, to give the day an overall timeless feeling. Getting married in October was the finishing touch!
Kate & Ed included a lot of bespoke items on their wedding day! The most notable were Kate’s wedding dress and evening reception dress. Both dresses were handmade and designed for the bride by her friend and Recommended Supplier, Kate Rosamond Bridal. Since Kate & Ed both love nature, they brought in special touches from their garden at home such as the confetti, and dried flowers in the table names.
A lot of time and effort goes into planning a wedding, not to mention the cost – everyone says it, but it really will all be worth it on the day! Try to enjoy the final days leading up to the wedding too - it can be stressful (so many last-minute things that I could never have planned for went wrong for us) but, those days before the wedding were still some of my favourites. Just know that at that point you've done everything you can, relax as much as you're able to, and enjoy the build-up to the big day!
