Let us introduce you to a very special guest: The lovely, sparkling and ever so beautiful Julie Vino. Sorry, did we say guest? We meant dress. However this gown may as well have been a guest for the incredibly good time it was having at Helen & Will's tipi wedding! Just wait until you've seen it captured by Recommended photographer Abbie Sizer during golden hour... But Helen's style wasn't the only thing that has caught our eye. Basically this whole back-garden-come-festival-wedding setup with tipi from Recommended supplier Sami Tipi has us wishing it was summer. And that we were at a wedding. Well, one wedding in particular...
Incredible live music. Phenomenal food. We picked all of our suppliers carefully and considered their personalities and ‘can do’ attitude. We planned and co-ordinated our own wedding so this was vital and made for a phenomenal day. The suppliers quickly became friends and they did everything within their power to give us the best day!

Yes, the dress deserves its own column. Because, wow. We love a long sleeve dress we truly do, but this Julie Vino number with its mesh sleeves and sparkling details is just something else. Paired with a flowing veil for the ceremony which was later swapped for a boho flower crown, Helen clearly got herself a dress that could do both. However, we would be remiss if we didn't mention Will's blue checked suit with a pop of colour from that red tie. A red which happened to match the halter neck bridesmaid dresses... Okay, it seems everyone was dressed to impress. Assignment understood.
As their wedding was originally in Autumn they started with autumnal colours. However even after it was postponed to summer they decided to keep the colour theme along with the relaxed boho decor. From the sparklers to the New York Brass Band who played to a crowd who were clearly loving it, the festival vibes were on. Cue a tipi, fairy lights, dried florals and steel drums and you've got yourself a real party! The Julie Vino dress got its chance to dance the night away, and we got to see the incredible photos. Win-win? We think so.
Any advice for couples planning? Yes- enjoy it! If you had all your friends and family in a room with some drinks, food and music- you’d have a great time. Anything on top is a bonus. Take this attitude to the day to release the worry. Have people allocated to dealing with unknown problems. There will definitely be some! Also, get to know your suppliers really well. Use local - you’ll see them again! Our suppliers made our wedding.
