Hey Stephen, I've been holding back this feeling so I've got some things to say to you… don’t mind us, it’s just that this Taylor Swift song won’t leave our heads as soon as saw that this was Jasmine & Stephen’s wedding day! Jasmine & Stephen live in Hong Kong but hosted their wedding in the UK. The couple planned a four-day weekend wedding to make the most of hanging out with their loved ones back in the UK. They wanted everyone to feel like they were on a mini holiday. Guests paid a certain amount to either stay in a yurt or in the house at the stunning Ash Barton Estate and Jasmine & Stephen supplied all the rest. Of course, the vibrant day was captured by the incredible Recommended Supplier, Kirsty Mackenzie Photography. The couple chose Recommended Supplier, Flutter, Darlings! for their confetti! And what a confetti shot they had!
I was on a high ALL day but the ceremony was my favourite moment of the day. The feeling when I saw Stephen at the front and all of our friends and family in one place was so wonderful. Having everyone remain seated felt so special as I could see everyone.
Jasmine & Stephen
Jasmine & Stephen had their wedding and celebrations over four days at Ash Barton Estate. The first day was all about family whereas day two got the fun going with pizza, drinks, music and quizzes. Day three was the main event! For the wedding, Jasmine & Stephen started the day with yoga. One of the couple’s best friends, Sam, personalised and wrote the ceremony. The couple also requested that everyone remain seated for the ceremony so that Jasmine could look out as she walked down the aisle and still see everyone. Falling in Love is like Owning a Dog by Taylor Mali was the couple’s wedding reading. The nuptials were sealed with a kiss (and a shot of whisky) before the couple exited with an epic confetti moment. Day four consisted of a Bloody Mary brunch, a pool party, DJ, and BBQ!
When asked to describe the vibe of their day, Jasmine & Stephen said it was, “High energy, bold, full of joy, organized yet relaxed.” Personalisation was important to the couple so they had personalised stationery, a surprise illustrator and their wedding favours were actually donations to the shelter where the couple found their dog, Winnie! Where they could, the bride and groom used friends’ talents as much as possible, so they could feel like a part of the day in more ways than one. One of the standout moments from this day is those orange bridesmaid dresses and, of course, the incredible orange bridesman suit! The bridal party found their own outfits and shoes! Quite a project when there are 8 in total, but the final result looks incredible.
Do what you and your partner want, don't be swayed by family pressures or 'tradition'.
