What Made Our Day Unique
The setting was so magical. As owners of the business, there was a slight added pressure to do something a little different, but the space has been built for weddings of 100 guests, and we needed to make sure that we didn’t feel like we were stood in an empty room. I’ve always been obsessed with scents and candles are my guilty pleasure...Walking into the barn on our wedding day, I can’t even begin to describe the smell, it reminded me of playing in my Grandma’s garden when I was little. It actually took my breath away a little bit, and I know that I can bring back the scent from that day, by lighting a candle or two. Healing Manor
For one day only, this couple went from being the owners of the beautiful Healing Manor in Grimsby to the bride and groom themselves. The ceremony in the venue's barn was littered with hundreds of handpicked candles with gorgeous scents, so not only did the day look amazing, it smelt amazing too! It may not have been the Italian wedding they originally planned, but this is just as beautiful in its own way, filled with so much love and emotion!
Inspiration & Styling
Throughout the whole process we were pretty laid back, Charlotte perhaps a little too much. Charlotte knows what she wants and doesn’t want and even said all along that her shoes were more important than the dress, because she’ll be wearing those again! What was important was of course the people, followed by the surroundings, food and most importantly wine!Charlotte & Steven
